located in the forest surrounding marblehill bay, maine.
adelaide and michael baker moved into this home just off the forest of marblehill bay, maine in 1964 following the birth of their son, jamie baker. their daughter, lily baker, was born 13 years later. the family lived relatively peacefully until 1983, when jamie was found murdered. the bakers moved shortly after, the house sitting unsold and the case unsolved.
the house sat uninhabited for several years, where its reputation earned it the title of marblehill bay's "real-life haunted house" by the town's teenagers.
one summer night in 1993, the house suddenly caught fire for reasons unknown. some residents feared an arsonist was targeting the town, but no other buildings ever burned. the mysterious nature of the fire, however, seemed to scare off teenagers for good, and the house never saw any more visitors after that. the forest grew to envelop it, and now talk of "the house" of marblehill bay has since fizzled out.
