• Refugees: Caelua advertises itself as a mage-friendly society, which is evident in its social hierarchy. Magicians from countries hostile toward them will often relocate to Caelua to escape from prejudice.


• Caelian Pairing Program: Enters citizen mages into its database after their eighteenth birthday. They are assigned a letter grade based on their academic performance, physical fitness, health, and magic. Those who are assigned a grade within the range of A to C is arranged to marry someone with the same letter as them. Those with D letter grades are permitted to marry, but not reproduce. Depending on why they were assigned a D grade, they may be given a second chance to raise it. However, those who are assigned a failing grade of F are permanently sterilized, and it is illegal for them to marry or raise a child.

Takes up the eastern half of the Areliene continent.

Ranges from hot and humid to cold and dry, depending on altitude. Up north, the cold makes it barely habitable.
