The forest was large, light, and prospering. Its canopy was dominated by ash, redwood, and willow, their leaves and branches allowed for just enough light to pass down for a variety of herbs to spread in the flat, fertile grounds below.
Curving climbing plants dangled from a couple of trees, and a potpourri of flowers, which desperately tried to avoid the shadows, added some color to the otherwise jade terrain.
A tumult of wild sounds, most belonged to bird songs, reverberated through the air, and were accompanied by the occasional sounds of large animals in the distance.
