info Overview
Name - What's the name of this landmark?

Macula Monastery

Description - How would you describe Macula Monastery ?

Located on a small island that's part of the "Fishtail Bay" area, this monastery is a sort of makeshift primary combat school for the locals. However, unlike the official schools, it is not recognized on transcripts and its funding does not allow for more specialized classes such creating your own personal weapon—that's usually outsourced to the local blacksmiths.

Otherwise, the monastery serves as a place of reflection, honing the body and mind, and a host for the orphaned and/or misguided youths that occasionally make their way there. The monks that live there welcome all, generally speaking.

Size - How big is Macula Monastery ?

Made up of open courtyards, gardens, and a scattering of one-story buildings, the small but respectable monastery takes up only a few miles of the small offshoot island.

Materials - What materials was Macula Monastery constructed from?

Like most of the buildings on Menagerie, they are made with a mix of wood and imported concrete for stability. The buildings aren't elevated, as monastery sits above the sea level so flooding isn't the biggest issue. But the monks don't mind rebuilding, in any case, seeing it as a natural part of the cycle of life.

Colors - What color(s) is Macula Monastery ?

The colors that typically represent the Macula are dusty-red and a dark magenta trimmed with gold, which is reflective in the uniforms of the monks that live there.

Lower ranked monks dress typically in the dusty-red, with white and black as accent colors, while the higher ranked dress in dark magenta with blue and gold as accent colors.
