The God of Dragons

Even dragons have a god, and in this case it's Abraxas. Ask a dragon and they'll tell you that she was responsible for the first of their kind, and where she walks dragons are more fertile and have healthier offspring.

At some point The Sovereign Galen managed to entrap her, forcing her to be his mysterious dragon breeder for his armies. With her present the hatchlings would hatch and grow faster without sacrificing their intelligence (mostly) and it was how he was able to swell his ranks as quickly as he did. When he was killed, however, one of the first things Zaela did was set Abraxas free. While the god stayed to look after the remaining dragons she was in agreement that there would be no more, and once the babies were all adults she was quick to return to the realm of the gods and reclaim her place.
