Notes

These large creatures travel in herds that can range from tens to hundreds, using their large bodily size and numbers to scare off any potential predators. They will charge if provoked and if the fact that they weigh a few tons doesn't kill you their horns might gore you to death or they can simply trample you.

Hunting them is discouraged due to the sheer number of times a hunter has been killed. While some pack animals may scatter when a predator approaches or they sense danger, buffalo stick together. Targeting one is targeting the whole herd, and a few hundred pissed off animals the size of a royal carriage trampling towards you is not exactly something one survives very easily.

Such dangerous creatures should not be messed with in the wild, but they have been successfully domesticated in many parts of the world that they naturally inhabit. They are used as beasts of burden to pull wagons or ploughs, and as their lives come to an end their bodies are well used; their hides are tough and make for great leather armor, and their meat is edible when cooked. Whatever's left is usually processed into fertilizer, though some take the bones and make other use of them such as for tools.
