Selkie

Selkies, like changelings, are creatures created by Ginnungagap to blend in with Yggdrasil’s inhabitants. They are made from Ginnungagap’s light, a sort of “evolved” version of a starling. Unlike changelings, they are only allowed to choose two creatures to seamlessly shift between with no physical tells whatsoever. Selkies typically choose to perfectly resemble a Niflish human in one form and a seal or sea lion in the other, though occasionally they may choose a different animal form. They are given an article of clothing as a sort of catalyst to change into their “second form,” usually a coat of fur or hide that resembles the animal they can shift into.
