Lurker

Lurkers are every human explorer's worst enemy. These large spined, hound-like creatures can be found on various planets, originally native to the jungles of planet Europa, they have become somewhat of an invasive species among several worlds over the last few decades. They are commonly owned illictly by those well invested into the illegal, exotic wildlife trades or poachers, valued for their savage hunting instincts and powerful acid-laden bites. They are said to make powerful guard animals.

In the wild, they are primarily lone hunters but often form roving packs in times of food scarcity or in attempts to hunt large game.
