August 5th
Callida hails from the Belle Isle, a small town called Endiouba.
She is a young woman with a penchant for swordplay which was instilled in her by her parents, Aidan and Ceara, two shepherds. She is a fiery young woman with an iron will and the potential to change the world.
Despite being a Celestial Descendant, Callida is the only one of the group who isn't royalty, as her family had the throne stolen from them in an uprising that took place many decades ago.
Since then, they have lived in exile as shepherds on the outskirts of the country their family once ruled.
Callida is a strong-willed teenage Belenosian. All her life she has been focused on and trained in combat and leadership.
Callida's father, Aidan Eavans, was the one mostly responsible for her training while Ceara, her mother, was responsible for her education. However, her father just up and disappeared one day. No one, not even his own wife, whom he loved and adored, knows where he went.
This happened around the time Callida was about ten years old. Her mother has raised her alone since then and the Eavans family has held out hope that their beloved Aidan will one day return.
A pyrokinetic like her father before her, she is the most talented psychic in several generations, being able to control fire effortlessly, hardly having to concentrate at all. She is also able to utilize the soul fire that resides in every celestial being and use it to bolster her celestial abilities. When she does this, fire leaks from her very pores and her eyes, but her divine aura protects her from any burns.
Callie has only demonstrated the full extent of her powers once and in doing so, injured one of her best childhood friends. Because of this, she developed a subconscious psychic block which prevents her from accessing this level of power again.
Six years after the disappearance of Aidan, the dormant volcanoes surrounding the Belenos Isle become active all at once and begin to spew lava onto the islands and into the seas.
Despite being a skilled pyrokinetic, Callie is still inexperienced in large-scale manipulation and her mother must complete the celestial rite which grants her pyrokinetic abilities at the cost of shortening her life by a few decades. Ceara is the only thing standing between the Belenos Isle and total destruction. The citizens of Belenos have already begun a mass exodus.
Callida is asked by her mother to join them as they leave the islands, but to go with a mission: discover why this has happened, and, if she can, find Aidan.
During her journey, Callida learns that the Belenos Isle is not the only part of the world under attack by the natural elements. Laputa is besieged by tornadoes, Atlantis rises, and the Terran Valley is rocked by earthquakes on a daily basis. All of these countries are under threat of destruction and it is up to Callie and her band of young celestials to find out who or what is causing these disasters and put a stop to it.
Callida has a very high level of education, to rival that of a royal of this world. Her parents were determined to make sure she never felt inferior to anyone.
