He doesn't really use weapons, they scare people. But he will use what ever is closest if he needs to fight.

The Town he grew up in, they had very few facilities of education.

His mother would hit his father, his father would take the beating. His father had attempted Suicide a couple times. no one caught him, he just couldn't go through with it. Harli grew up watching them. he had a friend, the friend died, sick and alone.
Eddie died, Harli wasn't there for her.
A couple weeks later Dain was hit. another town to be added to the ever growing list of attacks. He survived for the soul reason he wasn't really alive.

Harli had gone out into the woods to collect some things to make Eddie feel better, she'd been so sick recently.
When Harli was deep enough in the woods that the town couldn't hear his screams, the creatures attacked. they'd been following him, it isn't often they get lone prey.
They weren't going to eat him, no, they just wanted to play with him. ripping away at his flesh, he screamed out in pain and terror knowing he was going to die. He tried to get away but he was weak, in pain, dying. Tears ran down his face, he wanted to get away, he wanted to live.
Suddenly the creatures ran back into the trees. Harli laid there relieved but still dying.
What had scared the creatures stared down at the tiny broken body. It didn't feel, not really, but it wanted to see the tiny body live again, it was intrigued.
So the thing that drove away the creatures fixed Harli's body, as much as it cared to. which was just enough for him to survive. the thing seemed to fade back into the trees as Harli regained consciousness.

Once Harli had enough strength he crawled his way back to town.
