There are many fiend lords who rule the lower planes, and many of them have many children for many reasons.

Divari is one such child. But she never loved life inside a gilded cage; as technically nobility in the lower planes she could have anything she wanted...as long as she followed her father's rules.

Kalia is the reason Divari broke the rules. A wizard in her own right, having used her powers to permanently transform herself into a sentient animal. Kalia sold her soul to Divari's father in life, and upon her death was pulled to her father's realm.

It was there that the pair fell in love. Regardless of anything Kalia was a smart, sweet, loving woman and Divari finally found a reason to live, a reason to escape her father. So they hatched and escape plan and tried to run, but before they could get out Divari's father found out and sent Kalia to another fiend lord who was even more cruel.

After that Divari made her way to the top layer of the lower planes but she couldn't bring herself to leave, to abandon Kalia. Yet there would be little, if any, help for her and going back to her father would make her wish she were dead so Divari became stuck; unable to leave due to a vain hope she could rescue Kalia, unable to return because of the consequences.

An intrepid group of adventurers traveling through the lower planes took Divari with them when it became clear she knew more about how the areas worked and could be an asset to them. They helped her reach Kalia and rescue her, and took the pair straight to the lowest levels where they made a deal with the most powerful fiend lord for their freedom. A life lived, and once it's done they both belong to the fiend lord but as long as they're together they know they can handle anything.

Until then, though, they are living in Legynd and just trying to make the most of their lives.
