The details regarding the origin of the entity later called Noisebyte are mainly unknown, with only theories of various plausibility operating with the fact of its anomalous composition and strange abilities being tossed around. The theories vary wildly; one of them says that it was a "glitch in the Lattice" that allowed for an extra dimensional being to "penetrate the timestream of the home dimension"; another claims that a deep space computer virus inadvertently made its way to several of Earth's programs, fusing with them and assuming control of some of its machines. Yet others claim that matter itself distorted and mutated long enough for the anomaly to become permanent.

Among these theories is a common thread that the entity likely came from another realm: whatever that may be.
