Juni is a shy, soft-spoken individual, and she rarely talks much unless she’s with her family. She’s very kind and compassionate, but also gullible and easy to manipulate. She’s very protective of her husband, Ganymede, and her two children, Phoenix and Fern. She’s pretty easily intimidated, and generally scared of people, especially when they’re visibly angry/irritated about something. She tends to be really nervous about asking questions, often worried that she’ll look stupid to whoever she’s asking.

Her hair clips that Resh handmade for her when she was little, they’re shaped like little Dark Dragons wrapped around her hair and the eye can be flipped from a red side to a blue side.

When Juniper was born, Teth, the elder of the Hidden Forest, quickly found her and brought her to the Isle of Dawn. Juni was raised in a nursery in the Isle, where she stayed until she was about 2 years old. After she had learned reading, writing, and basic flight techniques, she was sent to Daylight Prairie, where she would soon be adopted by Cedar Lyra. Cedar was a terrible mother to Juni, constantly yelling at her and punishing her for the smallest of things, and quite often neglecting her emotional and physical needs. During this time, she met her first and best friend Foxglove, who would sneak her food water, and at one point a lamp so she would have a consistent light source, and she would be an emotional support for Juni.

This went on until Juni was 8 years old, when Cedar ended up leaving her alone in the Eye of Eden. She wandered around for a while, and then she was found by Resh Corvus, the elder of the Eye of Eden. He took her to the rest of the elders, and eventually it was decided that Resh would take care of her until another parent could be found for her, since it was obvious that Cedar had left her to die. Unfortunately, another parent couldn’t be found for Juni, as Juni had quickly grown attached to Resh and didn’t want to live with anyone else. Resh reluctantly took her in and raised her as his own daughter, and he in turn grew attached to her.

As Juni grew older, Resh taught her many important life skills such as self defense, first aid, and surviving in the wilderness, as well as flying in the strong winds of Eden. When Juni was 19, she met Ganymede, and quickly became friends with him. Soon, both Juni and Ganymede had developed feelings for each other, but they were both oblivious. This went on for a month or two, and eventually Juni (with quite a bit of persuasion from Resh) asked Ganymede out on a date. After about 3 years, when Juni was 22 and Ganymede was 24, Ganymede proposed to Juni in the Valley of Triumph, and they got married shortly after.

After Juni’s been married to Ganymede for about a year, she’s eventually made the elder of Paradise, mostly so the other elders could see whether or not she had the qualifications to take care of a bigger realm. By this time, she lives with Ganymede and visits Resh every week or so.

A few years pass, and Juni ends up getting captured by the Children of Darkness, who plan to kill the elders and use Juni as leverage. She’s kept there for a few months in horrible conditions, with barely enough sustenance to keep her alive, and constant beatings every time she even looked at someone wrong. Resh tried to negotiate for her release multiple times, and failed almost every time until he agreed to be a prisoner in Juni’s place. Juni was released and sent home, and Resh was held captive in her place for a while. Eventually, Juni had recovered slightly and decided to sneak out and try to rescue Resh. She almost makes it, but then gets re-captured and held captive with Resh.

After Juni and Resh had been held captive for a few more months, Juni gets stabbed in the eye with a dark crystal, which corrupts her and drives her to almost murder Resh.
She remains corrupted for a while, before finally she’s cured and falls unconscious for a few days. She ends up bedridden for a long time as she recovers from the corruption, and she was left permanently blind in her right eye.

Long after she recovers and the war between the Children of Light and Darkness ends, Juni takes over as the elder of Daylight Prairie, as Ayin, the previous elder, was found to have been leading the Children of Darkness in their plan to kill the other elders, and therefore killed.

Eventually, Juni and Ganymede adopt 2 children; their eldest daughter, Phoenix, and Phoenix’s little brother, Fern.

The Hidden Forest

She knows how to read and write, and she also knows basic self defense, first aid, and wilderness survival.
