CC-0005: Based on his number, it's clear that Ace is one of the oldest clone troopers in the Grand Army of the Republic and also a clone commander as opposed to just a trooper.
Ace: Ace gained his nickname fairly early on due to how quickly he picked up on new combat skills and his ability to "ace" different challenges.
