While Carlos looks like a mean person, he's just a bit socially awkward and is very guarded as a person. He loves his twin sister dearly and loves his friends. He does his best not to make problems for Carmen and typically tries to follow her lead when it comes to social interactions. He is very starved for affection as a result of him growing up in foster homes and Carmen always being the center of attention. He never holds resentment for Carmen's ability to make connections, even though he feels lonely.
