The Lurker

You were born to rasheon parents (the Ditani family), members of a tribe of nomadic people who live on the Plains of Nellinbrock. The people are known as the Children of Ander and are primarily sheep and cattle herders, moving seasonally between the hillier regions to the east and the coastlands to the west. At its peak, the Children numbered in the thousands.
Unwilling to fulfill the expectations of the tribe and of your parents (an arranged marriage to a member of another family), you followed in the footsteps of your older sister (named Eryn, who also left the tribe at an early age) and traveled to the town of Riverside at the age of 16 to join her there. She managed to get you work at the Ruby Chalice, a local inn owned by a rasheon woman named Sabenn. It was at the Ruby Chalice that, a year later, you met members of the Raven Company from Derith’lin. A rogue within that group, a dwarf female named Khali (with tangled, silver hair, blue eyes, and a distinctive mark on her arm), took an instant liking to you. With things not going well in Riverside (your sister was becoming uncomfortably familiar with the seedier elements in town), you decided to leave with Raven Company and return with them to the hidden city. Khali became a friend and mentor to you and taught you everything you know about thievery.
Khali found work for you as an outrider after arriving in Derith’lin, and it was through that position that you met and became familiar with Skoal Longtooth (a minotaur soldier in the city guard) and Dinin Naiilo (a spirit elf outrider). In 1708, Skoal and Dinin approached you with an offer to enlist in the Ward. With the encouragement of Khali, you agreed.

The Elan are a race of powerful nature spirits, condensed magical consciousnesses that are tied to specific geological regions. The Elan of the Plains of Nellinbrock is called Avadaeuh, and is said to take the form of a massive white bison.
Rogues and thieves allied with the Perdition are known as dreggers.
There are two primary currencies used in the Delephran region - Delephranese coins (oval-shaped, with the words “The Book is the Law” written in tar’na on one side and people or landscapes on the other, depending on value), and Necran coins (introduced by the Perdition; black steel circles, devoid of markings save for a single geometrical shape on one face).
