Lilly is a gentle soul, and it’s easy to see from any distance. This makes her approachable, but also an easy person to use or just walk all over. She is patently against aggressive confrontations (with exceptions), and she is very easily startled, though she is not a coward.

There’s already so much pain, suffering, and violence in the world. Even now, children younger than her are being taught how to fight, but Lilly only wants to make people better. Her semblance has made it impossible to live a normal life, but Lilly hopes that with enough time and dedication, she might learn to control it, and become a force for good. Even the Huntsmen are probably going to need a field medic, right?

As previously mentioned, Lilly is easily startled, but that is only the beginning for her. Lilly is terrified of a number of things, including water, heights, and perhaps most importantly, the Grimm. She is also a massive pushover, and will take on far more than she can keep up with in an effort to help those around her, or just to avoid any conflict.

She’d rather not admit it, but she has trouble trusting Humans on account of their history, and she is also weary of other Faunus due to previous experiences with the White Fang. Truthfully, everybody scares her a little bit.

Lilly is a timid, gentle person through and through. Having seen many forms of suffering, she is deeply empathetic, and is more likely to feel sorry for someone than feel angry towards them. When she does become negative, it is still unlikely that she will get angry; when things fall apart, she’ll usually just suffer in silence until she can take no more, at which point she will simply sit down and cry. Still, as timid, gentle, and forgiving as she is, Lilly is not an idiot; if she must fight for survival, then she will, and she can be quite resourceful when she puts her mind to it.

Generosity. At the end of the day, Lilly cares deeply for those around her, and will give anything to keep them all happy and healthy.

Lilly only has one memento from home: an ugly patchwork rabbit doll with one button eye that she absolutely refuses to part with. There is always room in her pack for this comfort object.

March 20th

Lilly has received combat training from the White Fang, but she has never shown much aptitude for combat on account of her distaste for it. For this reason, it is unclear whether she is any good in a fight or not.

It was dark at the base of the mountain, beneath the palms. Lilly wasn’t sure why she was there. Perhaps she had been left in the forest; perhaps she had wandered there herself. She does not recall what events led her to be in that forest, or how long she was there for; her earliest memory is being found by an old Fox Faunus at the edge of the settlement known as Kuo Kuana. Thus began her strange and unfortunate life as she remembers it.
The Samppanjas were kindly folk from what Lilly could tell. Perhaps their age had simply made them soft and tired; or perhaps they had simply grown into kinder people over the years. They had only met one another a decade prior, and had not managed to conceive any children in that time, though not for lack of trying. They saw Lilly as a blessing from the Universe itself, and treated her as such. Sotury, or “Papa” as she called him, was always protective of Lilly, insisting that she stay close to home and never mess about with the other children; “They’re already doomed,” he’d say, “I promise you that! Between the Humans and the White Fang, they’re all gonna be following some force of evil by the time they’re grown.” Of course, he didn’t really mean that all of them would turn out that way, but the majority of them already followed the White Fang, and Soturi didn’t want that life for Lilly.
But alas, that life came for her anyway. The White Fang paid the Samppanja house a visit after one of Lilly’s friends joined up with them. Up until then, they had not known that this household had an eligible young Faunus in it, and they were interested in getting their hands on her. As the recruiters threatened her family, Lilly dug deep within herself to defend the ones that she loved; she didn’t have a weapon, so she simply lunged forward and tackled one of the recruiters, getting stabbed through the abdomen in the process. Everyone was shocked a moment later when the White Fang recruiter lay dead beneath her, and Lilly sat there with a wound that was entirely healed.
Her family managed to fight off the remaining White Fang recruiter, but the damage had already been done; Lilly had discovered a horrifying new power in herself, and she had killed someone with it. Devastated, she turned to her family, who had also been hurt in the fight, and went to them in the hopes of both giving and receiving some support. She found herself wishing that she could have healed their wounds instead of her own. And then, like magic, their wounds closed beneath her touch!
Her family knew that she couldn’t stay in Menagerie. So, despite her father’s prejudices, Lilly was sent to the only place where they thought she might be safe from the White Fang: Beacon Academy.

Menagerie

Kuo Kuana. This is only a technicality; Lilly was found near the outskirts of Kuo Kuana as a child, and adopted by a couple there that had no children of their own. She never really liked the large settlement.

Adoptive Mother: Etsijä Samppanja (Fox Faunus). A kindhearted woman with a love for adventure, Etsijä spent many years traveling across Remnant and scavenging among its many ruins. A talented treasure hunter, she managed to make quite a name for herself back in the day, but eventually her old bones started creaking, and she felt it was best to settle down while she still had the chance. She still enjoys foraging and scavenging for unique stones and trinkets.
Adoptive Father: Soturi Samppanja (Wolf Faunus). Once a fearsome warrior, Soturi still remembers the Faunus War that took place during his childhood. He remembers when the White Fang fought for peace and equality. He remembers when the world relied on soldiers, not children. And he still can’t decide which is worse. In recent times, he has felt relieved for his old age; the things that the White Fang order their people to do these days is just deplorable. Not that those dirty, rotten humans are any better…

A chakram that, if thrown correctly, will be able to cut through certain Grimm like butter and still return to the thrower’s hand.

The chakram divides into a pair of curved twin blades.

Lilly’s primary contribution in combat is as a medic; when she does fight, she prefers to be more defensive, relying on escape tactics rather than trying to “win” the fight.

Pathfinder’s blade(s) can soak up dust if applied properly; still Lilly only keeps a little bit of the stuff on hand for emergencies.

Transfusion

Using a small amount of her aura, Lilly can essentially perform a chemical stem cell transfusion, literally causing another living thing to be drained of health and energy while she is healed and energized-- or vice versa. If she’s quick, Lilly can even restart a heart that has stopped beating, though this would be extremely dangerous to her, as it could literally cause her own heart to fail.

Damage/Heal

Lilly’s palms open up, and thin tendrils sprout from the openings, latching onto whomever she is transfusing with. Whoever is being healed, their wounds will steadily start to close, and their bruises will begin to disappear; whoever is being drained will grow pale, and possibly experience some bleeding and/or bruising of their own.

Aside from the obvious issue of her semblance being a potential source of self-harm, it can only serve to stimulate and regenerate-- it can close a bullet wound, but it won’t remove the bullet unless the body is regenerated in just the right way, and Lilly has not been trained nearly well enough to perform such a feat with her semblance. Similar issues appear with venom and other sources of illness; she can make people heal faster, but it won’t matter if what they actually need is a cleansing or surgery. She hasn’t had it happen yet, but she is also certain that if she used this power to try and heal a cancer patient, she would only accelerate the growth of their tumor(s).
