Diesel does not regularly display strong emotional reactions, and he almost always speaks in monotone. When he has a significant feeling toward something, his pupils will tend to either dilate or contract accordingly, regardless of how light or dark his surroundings are.

Motivations - What motivates Diesel Macnamara most?
Anyone who simply asks Diesel why he wants to become a Huntsman will get the same answer; his uncle wanted him to do it. This is true to a certain extend; Diesel very much wants to make his uncle proud. However, Diesel also has the understanding that if he does not put his violent tendencies to good use, they will probably be put to bad use. On a much deeper level, there is a part of him that truly wants to help people, especially those who have suffered as he has.
Diesel assumes the worst in people, and has faith in no one. He also suppresses a very literal blood lust; the closer he gets to people, the more he fantasizes about destroying them, often in the most painful and graphic ways possible. He is also extremely sexphobic, and any attempts to engage with him in an explicitly sexual manner will likely be met with violence.
Everyone is selfish, sick, and stupid; a person’s race has little to do with how selfish, sick, or stupid that person is.

There are people who see the glass as half empty, and then there is Diesel. For most of his life, he has survived by picking out the most immediate threats and either avoiding or removing them as quickly as possible, and that means being able to point out what is wrong with a person very quickly; negative traits stand out to him far more than positive ones do, and as a result he doesn’t think of anyone as “good,” only “less shitty than most.” He also exercises a strange combination of recklessness and prudence; he tries to avoid fights for the most part, and will rarely engage an enemy if he can avoid it, but he also seems to care very little for his own safety, often taking risks that could very well result in his own injury or death. In short, he judges everyone harshly, and none more harshly than himself.
Loyalty. Endearing oneself to Diesel is no easy task, but once he’s decided he cares about someone, he will live or die for them.
October 31st
Diesel has received some informal training from his uncle, but otherwise his only combat experience has been from fighting on the streets of his hometown. He’s been kicked out of a couple different schools as well, so his non-combat education leaves something to be desired.
Diesel was alone. From the time that he was born, nobody knew what to do with him; the father had not been present in the nine months since conception, his mother had passed out from the drugs, and his uncle was literally in the crossfire of a shootout, trying to minimize civilian casualties.
Diesel would become quite used to the feeling of being alone; most of the time his mother would be too drunk to do anything for him, and his uncle would be too busy. When his uncle did have the time to spend with him however, it was almost always an educational experience for both of them. Still, with nobody watching him most of the time, Diesel developed a tendency to wander, which would lead to the discovery of some of his less desirable impulses; from a very young age, Diesel knew that he liked hurting things. When a rodent or stray cat would wander into his yard, Diesel would usually kill it immediately, as those things could be nutritious if cooked properly; however, there were a few occasions in which he took his time with this process, inflicting unnecessary pain to the animals in a manner that is best left to the imagination. When Thomas discovered this, he quickly realized that this boy could not be fixed… but he could be repurposed. Thus, Diesel’s uncle taught him early on that his wrath should only be unleashed upon the worst creatures, such as murderers, rapists, and the soulless monsters that they call Grimm.
It took some time for Diesel to learn how to contain himself; he had immense amounts of trouble ignoring people, especially when those people were trying so hard to get a reaction out of him. As a result, he got into a LOT of fights growing up, and had to switch schools several times. However, all of that changed shortly before he turned seventeen. His mother had been on a losing streak, trying and failing to find a guy that would take her home; maybe it was how sick the alcohol was making her, or maybe her reputation had caught up to her, but regardless of reason, she was pent up. He still cannot explain how that could have led to her doing what she did, nor can he explain why he didn’t stop her. Everything about that night was horrible and irrational, and it almost wasn’t surprising when his mom disappeared the next day. She left no note, and she never came home. This was traumatic enough on its own, but to top it off, it was only a month later that Diesel’s resilience was truly tested.
He never bothered to ask why the kid was gonna shoot up the school. To be honest, he didn’t really care about the reason. He just knew that he had to stop that kid at all cost. Diesel received a multitude of bullet wounds for his trouble, but the would-be shooter suffered far worse. After being rushed to the hospital, it became apparent to Diesel that his uncle couldn’t possible afford the hospital bill, nor could he afford to take anyone to court over the matter; so, using all of the strength he had, Diesel forced his way off of the gurney, fought his way to the elevator, took said elevator to the hospital roof, and flung himself from the top of it.
The fall was a long one, and Diesel can not for the life of him remember what it was that broke his fall. All he knows is that for nearly ten minutes, he was clinically dead. By all rights, he should have remained that way. But life doesn’t always turn out the way that it is expected to, and against all odds, Diesel not only made a full recovery, but he did so in record time. Still, his uncle couldn’t afford to pay off that hospital bill and still take care of him, so when they were notified that Diesel had caught the attention of the Headmaster of Beacon, he was on his way to that school as fast as humanly possible.
A lot has changed over the past seventeen years, but for better or for worse, one thing has remained the same: Diesel is alone.
Mistral
Tramonto
Mothers
Maggie Macnamara. There is no way to adequately describe this woman without touching on extremely sensitive and possibly controversial topics. However, she does have a few key characteristics, those being an addictive personality, perpetual loneliness, self-loathing, and an unhealthy reliance on alcohol and carnal pleasures.
Fathers
Unknown. Diesel’s father was never in the picture, and his mother never really talked about him.
Family Notes
Thomas Macnamara. An officer of the law that is known in his town for being a fair, honest person. He believes in second chances, and generally tries to be merciful and kind to those that deserve it; with that said, he is also a crack shot, and does not hesitate when civilians are in danger. He is a brave and honest man, but he has two regrets that he will take with him to the grave. The first is that he enabled his sister to destroy her own life as well as her son’s; the second is that he wasn’t there for his nephew when he needed him most. Diesel has never held this against his uncle, but Thomas will hold it against himself until the day he dies.
Diesel is supposed to take two pills twice daily; these pills are designed to reduce the production of several different hormones and brain chemicals, essentially dampening his emotions enough that he can't go psycho; it's like a lobotomy but non-committal.
A side effect of Diesel's primary medication is that it completely prevents him from sleeping without outside assistance; to circumvent this issue, Diesel takes a heavy sedative every time he wants to sleep. This sedative is not recommended for regular use under any circumstances.

A slightly oversized baseball bat made of strong metal.
Slugger
Just a regular baseball bat.
The business end of the bat opens up to reveal a chamber that is designed to hold a single dust canister at a time, and there is a switch on the handle that opens and closes said chamber, as well as a button that fires the aforementioned canister when the chamber is open. Projectiles will not fire if the chamber is closed.
Generally, Diesel prefers hit-and-run tactics, but he can and will tank if he is cornered, or if tanking serves him better.
Diesel utilizes dust canisters as one might utilize a grenade.
Ignorance
Diesel’s aura essentially acts as a secondary immune system, slowing or outright counteracting effects that might negatively affect his health such as bleeding, poisoning, or thermal imbalance. It also bolsters his already high pain tolerance, to the point where he can sustain serious injuries without flinching.
Boost
When his semblance is active, the affected area begins glowing; if he has poison in his bloodstream, then his veins will light up, and if he has a grievous wound, then that wound will put off a similar glow.
Blood Red
Self
If Diesel becomes too sick or too grievously wounded, then his semblance will cease to bolster his pain tolerance and instead focus entirely on keeping him alive.
