Boris is a stout, ferret/American badger hybrid. He is mainly grey, although Boris has a white underbelly and black legs. His tail is red, striped with black similar to a red panda. Boris has long, thick claws on his front legs, though they're usually covered in dirt and leaves that he can't wash away. He appears to have earthy green eyes, similar to his grandfather's, and wears a blue scarf. However, Boris wears a blue Haori after the blue scarf was destroyed by Cody.
Earthy green
A confusing mix between Fire Ferret, Red Panda, American Badger, and Ferret
Stout, slightly small
Boris's long claws, striped tail, facial features, and blue scarf stand out from the crowd. He's fairly easy to spot.
Boris doesn't really like social interaction, as he is shy and nervous on the first encounter. However, he doesn't want to be rude so he'll try his best to be kind. Unfortunately, he was not gifted with courage so most of his interactions will end up in awkwardness and disaster.
Boris wishes to feel he's wanted and loved since he feels kind of useless. He fears being alone and being ashamed of not being wanted by others.
Boris is skittish, nervous, and uncertain. He's more of an introvert and is usually very quiet, preferring to stick to the sidelines. Boris describes himself as a "coward" and often finds himself hiding from any sort of dangerous situation. This hybrid does not like attention and is very quick to flee. He is very serene and peaceful. He doesn't like violence and tries to stray away from it. Boris tends to be very emotional and sensitive, which is probably why he doesn't like sarcasm or teasing. Because of his mother's treatment, Boris is in a mindset where he thinks everyone else is smarter than him, and that he wouldn't ever be able to achieve his goals.
Despite all of these, Boris is very loyal and supportive to those who he values. He's willing to do whatever it takes for them to favor him and he worries he'll never be good for them. One would find Boris to be an interesting hybrid, able to tell vivid stories, and is able to brew tea quite efficiently. Boris is more of a dreamer, head lost in the clouds whenever he's not worried about his own abilities.
Boris is quite easy to manipulate, as he's gullible. He can also become clingy, martyr-like, intrusive, and a horrible secret keeper as well as a bad liar.
Boris has a distaste for farmers... despite being one himself (or rather, formerly a farmer).
While not a skilled earthbender, Boris can earthbend and somewhat use seismic sense to his advantage. Being a former farmer, Boris knows basic farming skills and has some survival skills. He's also decently well with plants, but earthbending just isn't the same as leaf speak.
Boris likes gardening, playing around, woodworking, writing, brewing tea, and creating useless crafts whenever he has time.
Boris is lawful good. He believes in the law and usually tries his best to abide by it.

158 AG
Boris was sent to a public school, which was a couple of miles away from his home. The public school didn't offer that great of an education...
Boris was born in an unnamed village, in 158 AG. He was mostly raised by his parents and learned how to become a farmer. Boris wanted nothing more than a simple life, but his parents wanted him to become a figure in politics. They did their best to send Boris to the best school within the affordable range. Boris often helped around, thus earning his nickname "The Kind One." However, his most favorite time in the day was when he was done with all his work and he came over to visit his grandfather, Butterscotch (who he would refer to as "Butterpops"). His grandfather was an American Badger, with bright eyes and endless stories. He usually wore a blue scarf, which made him easy to identify. Boris would usually listen to his grandfather for hours, eyes widening in excitement and fear as his grandfather told vivid stories of vicious monsters and legendary gods.
Unfortunately for Boris, this lifestyle wouldn't last for long. His grandfather suddenly passed away for unknown reasons and Boris inherited the scarf his grandfather had owned. Boris felt the bittersweet tears roll down his face as he picked up the scarf, vowing to protect his grandfather's memory. This event also turned his mother sour, as Boris was started to fall behind his classes and started to wander off in the forests. She drilled into Boris's mind everyone was smarter than him, so he "ought to stop trusting himself." This had a negative impact on Boris. He had planned to become a storyteller like his grandfather, but his mom basically said no.
One totally normal day, Boris was out in the fields when he was attacked by some suspicious animals in black clothing. Alarmed, he started to flee but the strange animals kept following him. When everything seemed lost, Boris threw his arms up and the earth underneath the animals erupted, causing them to fly out of the sky. It appeared as though Boris could manipulate the earth to his well. This only made the animals angrier and they started to chase after him like nothing before. Then Boris tripped on something shiny- a ring? and he fell right through the earth. Boris found himself lying in the middle of a library, with another hybrid and a Maned Wolf peering before him.
The two were revealed to be Slushie Pine and Pigeon, and they welcomed Boris into their world. For a solid couple of weeks, Boris lived in Pigeon's house and started to adapt to his surroundings. Then another guest appeared, Motzart Sterling. Boris was a bit hesitant to welcome him into the group due to his rash nature, but encouragement from Pigeon allowed Boris to warm up to Motzart. Just when things seemed to be getting better, strange mutated animals attacked Pigeon's place. Pigeon managed to hold the animals long enough for Slushie and the group to call for help at Kamar-Taj, but when they arrived it was already overrun by more of the same animals. Worried about Pigeon, Slushie insisted they return to help Pigeon. When they arrived, it appeared as though Pigeon was having a showdown with Cody, an animal who claimed to be the God of the Earth. Despite the trio's aid, Cody eventually killed Pigeon, and the trio was forced to flee. Slushie opened a portal and...
They landed right in front of a grumpus. Excellent timing, because if it weren't for the fact they knew Pigeon, the grumpus would've chased the trio away. The grumpus soon revealed to be Lamplighter, who was seeking revenge on Cody. As of right now, the four are trying to discover more about Cody, as well as some backstory on Lamplighter and Pigeon.

Mom (Negative) - Boris's mom used to be kind and motherly to him when he was a little kid. She was a bit upset with his grades but nonetheless supported Boris in his dreams. When Butterscotch passed away, his mom seemed to have the weirdest reaction, muttering about "the law" and drilling onto Boris with negative implications about himself. This behavior had a sad impact on Boris, and he didn't want to speak to his mother ever again.
Butterscotch (Positive) - When Boris was a small child, he would often visit his grandfather Butterscotch. The two had close ties, with Butterscotch telling vivid stories and joking around. Boris even wanted to be just like Butterscotch. Everything went downhill when Butterscotch died of an unknown cause. Boris, tears streaming down his cheeks, took his grandfather's scarf and vowed to protect it.
