I must say, while I'm a little disappointed, I love the fact that they not only made Byleth use some other weapons but that they also made a "too many swordsman" joke. Also, that one picture of Sakurai flipping us off in binary is now everywhere on the internet.

Oh good. There's also apparently a reference to how Sothis and Morgana share a VA somewhere in the trailer

I've only ever played 3 houses tho so I know nothing about the rest of the fandomw so….. yea..

Fair enough. Most of the games aren't really related to each other anyway though, so 3 houses completely stands alone. I need to finish my current playthrough lmao

If my judgement on how long the game is is right I'm barely even halfway through, and I'm definitely gonna need to play through the other 2 houses…

I've been playing Golden deer currently,

There's a timeskip, and that's about your halfway point.
But yeah, golden deer was my first house too! First playthrough honestly took me a while. My partner finished three playthroughs before I completed my first lmao

Ahhh that puts me at about 2 thirds of the way through…

And yeah, it's a lot of plot to go through, like, WOW is there a ton of chara development!

You have any favorite characters so far?

Claude and Ignatz definitely, Cyril's pretty interesting too!
And don't get me started on Marianne,

Also love Claude, plus his voice actor is wonderful
And Ignatz is babey.
Now, Hilda was an unexpected golden deer favorite for me.
Only golden deer I'd say I actually hate is Lorenz.

But in other houses, let's see…
Linhardt. Otherwise, I'm not a big black eagles fan.
Basically ALL the blue lions are great, except I don't like Ingrid as much. Dimitri, Sylvain, and Felix are probably my favorites though.
And professor Manuela <3
Also Alois is my father now. I'm making him adopt me.
Seteth is also very good.

Lorenz I actually don't mind,
But Hilda…
I love her in battle, andI LOVE her arcs with the other characters because she's so varied, BUT…
WHY the FRICK do her strengths in battle NOT match up with the constant whining over work?
Like, if you didn't want me to utilize you on my front lines, then don't be one of my strongest players from the start????
(I apologize, it's a pet peeve for her)

But at the same time, between her and Claude as wyvern riders, I can do a ton of damage and it's GREAT

It's one of her fun little insecurities. :(
She's really like "if no one holds me to any standards, I can't disappoint them."
It kills me that she shouts "you're making me work!" as she commits a murder.

And yes Alois is amazing, like, he matches my attitude SO well, and Linhardt is cool, I'm sad I wasn't able to grab him before the timeskip…
Same with Felix….
But Sylvain is amazing, and he works so well with Loeni and Lorenz, like, both Leoni and Lorenz are still pretty weak on their own, but he rounds them out nicely if they're together.
I agree with you on Ingrid tho, she's meh.

And Dimitri, I get the feeling he didn't like me, and I'm sad I didn't get to interact with him more.

THAT! Yes, That annoys me so much..
But what annoys me even more is the "I'm still a delicate flower y'know" when she levels up,
like, You are not a "delicate flower" you're a venus flytrap!
