(i sincerly apologize for going ghostly. I got wrapped up in school, extracurriculars, and my personal life.)
Blake smiled down at her, and gently wrapped his arm around her. She looked as though she might fall over at any point, and he didn't want anything to happen to her.
( your totally fine)
She closed her eyes " Thank you I. Owe you and don't worry I won't tell anyone" she said
"To be fair, I think everyone whos anyone already knows. I don't go unnoticed. And you don't go unnoticed either." He winked, a bad boy persona on once again.
She rolled her eyes playfully with a smile
"You should smile more often. Makes you hotter." He smirked at her. A few seconds later the nurse comes back with a thermometer and a few other things so she could do a small check up on Bethany.
Bethany had a Rosy tint to her cheeks when the nurse put a thermometer in her mouth as she adverted her eyes away from him
Blake scooted over a little bit to give the nurse the space that she needed to do her thing. He sat back and waited patiently.
" you don't have to stay" star said when the nurse took the thermometer out of her mouth
"Someone has to make sure you make it to where ever you're going safely. My mother didn't raise an douche." he said, with a gentle shrug.
She smiled gently " your not so bad cute but not bad" she said
"I'm incredibly handsome thank you very much" He said with a fake shocked face, putting his hand on his chest in a mock hurt.
She lightly pushed on his shoulder her hand lingering
Blake smiled at her, but the nurse came back breaking their moment. "Star, honey, i think im going to have to send you home for the day. I would also recommend seeing a doctor within the next week or so to besure everythings okay." she handed her a note to let her go home early. the nurse also gave one to Blake and said "Take her home, make sure she gets plenty of water, and maybe a little bit of food in an hour or so."
"he doesn't have to do that ma'am it's not his responsibility to look after me" Bethany said trying to convince the nurse
"Oh no I insist I do, I already had my last class of the day anyway." He responds, taking the note from the nurse and standing up. He picks up his own bag and Bethany's bag, reaching a hand out for Bethany to help her up and begin to lead her outside.
Bethany took his hand and pulled herself up giving Blake a small smile as they walked out
"So, where exactly do you live?" He said, walking through the parking lot towards his car, digging the keys from his bag with his free hand.
"you know those two story houses in the bad side of town?" She asked "I live in the yellow one"
"The bad side of town", he chuckled, "An interesting way to describe it, but i know where you're talking about." He unlocked his car. He opened the passenger side front and back doors, and put both of their backpacks in the backseat and made sure Star got in the front seat okay before closing both doors and walking around the car to the drivers seat and getting in. "Do you want to stop at the store and get something to eat or anything?"
She shook her head" no I'll be okay thank you Blake" she said smiling gently at him
"I guess its my job now, so no need to thank me" He said, smiling over at her with a gentle laugh. "He started the car and turned on a pop station but put it down low so they could talk over it. "So who exactly is Bethany Lightwell? I've seen you around, but im sure theres more to you than the external apperance."
"I'm the shy book nerd who likes to wear ear cuffs and chokers and nose rings I'm really smart or so I've been told I suck at sports clearly but I do enjoy baseball I live with my father but he's barely even home I don't know who my mother is I'm an only child" she said with a small smile
His eyebrows expressed a couple emotions overlapping each other and then they finally settled on a single brow arched up as he looked over at her. "Well that was some list. It was like it was scripted." he joked, pulling off the main express way down a road towards her house, taking a lesser-known route.
"Sorry" she mumbled under her breath looking out the window
He frowned, realizing he had said something wrong, "It wasn't a bad thing. More of a compliment I guess."
" why are you being so nice?" She asked " before today I don't think you knew I exsisted " she said
"Well when theres no back wall of the lockers and im forced to look at you everytime i open the locker door, i know you exist. And everybody needs a friend right?" He said, using his right hand to gesture as he spoke, his left staying firmly on the wheel, only putting his right hand back on the wheel when he was making a turn.
She sighed closing her eyes she tossed her head to the side
"I dont mind the view though" he said, winking at her.
She blushed a dark shade and let out a giggle
