Norkhal’rokh went to the coffeemaker and started some stout coffee. He wasn’t used to doing this himself, but he was glad he had learned how to anyway.

Kane started cooking, getting the house smelled with herbs and spices

Norkhal’rokh glanced over at Kane as he cooked, a thoughtful smile on his face.

“That smells really good, and I’m a pampered rich boy who tends to get picky,”he commented without shame.

" well princypoo you can eat my cooking or cook it yourself. " He remarked with his same bratty tone

Norkhal’rokh snickered.

“Oh, I’m certain I’ll enjoy your cooking far better than my own. The last time I tried to cook was, admittedly, an absolute disaster,”he said with a chuckle, shaking his head at the memory.

“But… I can make some pretty good coffee, if Nathersby wasn’t lying. Nathersby, Edmund Nathersby, is my chauffeur, by the way,”he added.

Norkhal’rokh watched Kane, fascinated. A thought then came to him.

“Did I introduce myself last night? I don’t quite remember,”he asked, chuckling.

" yes, norkal'rokh ," he joked

Norkhal’rokh chuckled in relief.

“Okay. Good. You’re… Kane? Right?”he asked.

“And, I honestly don’t remember his name,”he added, pointing in the direction of Nori.

" nori, and yes I'm Kane. " He said and smiled warmly. He liked hearing his name fall off of noks lips.

Norkhal’rokh nodded, then noted Kane’s smile. He couldn’t help but smile in reply.

“Kane and Nori. The two fellows I’ll be staying with for three months. You know I’m going to have to spoil you both, right?”he asked, deliberately saying Kane’s name again.

kane chuckled " mm im not one for spoils " he said and flipped the eggs again

Norkhal’rokh watched, still fascinated, then snickered.

“One for the simple things, are you? That’s cool. Though, I’m curious. Do you have anything here that you can never have enough of? I know I’m obsessed with clothes. I have outfits for anything you can think of, quite literally. Oh, it can be such a pain sometimes to choose from so many lovely outfits… but I adore every bit of it. One can never go wrong with a proper outfit,”Norkhal’rokh said, rambling a bit.

" one thing ive never had.. i guess its love. ive been content in everything but that.."

Nori had been standing just outside the kitchen, grinning the whole time. “Yeah. I’m Noriaki. But you can just call me Nori, or literally anything that sounds good to you.” He went to hug Kane from behind. “Well, maybe I can change tha… Damn that smells good!!” He pointed at Nok. “Oh my god we should go shopping. And you should pay!”

" how about we eat first?" kane chuckled and finished cooking. he set some eggs toast and milk down for the both of them and a glass of juice for himself

Nori smiled, taking his seat. “Personally, I can never have enough of-“ he got distracted again. “Shit, Kane are you one of those lack toast and toddler ant people or whatever?”

" lactose intolerant " he corrected and nodded " to a certain extent yes" he said

Nori chuckled. "Heh. Same." He took a swig of the milk and a bite of the toast, sighing contently. "Damn, this is good. I could get used to this."

“I see,”Norkhal’rokh commented with a thoughtful smile.

Nori then stepped out, and he couldn’t help laughing.

“Why, of course! And I insist on being the one to pay,”he replied.

He then chuckled at Kane’s suggestion and sat down, listening closely as he savored breakfast.

“How interesting. I’ve never met anyone that was lactose intolerant,”he commented.

He then grinned.

“I can definitely get used to your cooking as well. It may not be the, basically, five-star quality food I’ve had since I was a kid, but it’s a nice change, and really good,”he said.
