Lukas panted, sitting down inside the shield. "Im a mutant." He mumbled

Deleted user

(why)

(Bc of the fact that I have zero clue as to how anyone outside of you, Lynn, Serpent, Sky and Lily will react.)

Deleted user

(nooo luke needs to be tortured)

(Not quite just yet, but yes. I agree. First, we lull him into a false sense of security, and then slowly break and twist his mind.)

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Just to clarify, Goldergon [Vanishers as a whole actually] are extremely powerful telepaths. Demigods from my multiverse are lucky if they can escape the scrutiny of a Vanisher)

Goldergon grinned at Zai’s words.

“Yes, I recall. It is so fascinating how you seem to understand the complexities of Vanishers,”he cooed, admiring her eyes.

He sensed from her thoughts what she was waiting on.

“And you know that I roam. I had thought I was wandering underwater until I met Kreth and realized that the ‘water’ was illusion. And, I must say, Kreth is an artist with filleting victims. Unfortunately, I do not share his interest in prolonged torture,”he explained.

Goldergon then glanced at Edgar, sensing his thoughts. He gave him a stern look, one that said ‘none of your damn business’.

At Kreth’s words to Zai, Goldergon snickered. He then turned back to Zai, sending forth his thoughts to communicate with her privately.

Simple enough indeed, considering that you are the most interesting individual here.

Goldergon ignored everyone else until Kreth made the comment that Zai didn’t like him. Intriguing. His grin widened at her words, then watched her, admiring how her body changed as she stalked up to the human.

When Yenaliis stepped in front of Zai, Goldergon glared at her, a faint hiss coming from him. If she continued to act disrespectful to Zai, Goldergon may get the bloodbath he was after.

At Kreth’s comment about not harming the human, Goldergon rolled his eyes. He could care what others thought, he killed anyone that he wanted to, friend or foe.

Goldergon stayed with Zai when she returned to the dining room, having lost interest with the others. She was the only one keeping him from absolute boredom, and the resulting burst of extreme rage that accompanied being bored.

Shall we have our own little ‘party’? A private one reserved for us two? I find myself growing more bored by the moment, and I’m sure you recall my hatred of boredom.

He glanced at Zai, awaiting her answer with a sly grin.

Deleted user

(Nice! Voided are talented in their own mental ways, but my closest to the Vanishers would be whatever the hell Zai is!)

Zai nods. "Indeed, I do understand better than most."

She then grins. "Oh, yes. Kreth has always been a master of illusions. It is one of many reasons why I don't like him. He is also exceptionally talented at taking people apart, although yes, it is annoying how long he draws it all out."

Ah, you have always been a flatterer. However, in this case it is true. she thinks back, amusement tinging her thoughts pink and orange.

Ah… I see you find my mutable nature as interesting as ever. she says, grinning and walking over, placing a hand on Goldergon's arm when he hissed.

You do know everything Kreth is doing is a trick, yes? He always has been the best at manipulating people in general, not just humans. Even now, he manipulates his "friends".

Zai nods and a grin spreads across her face, one that says she has many things in mind, none of them good for anyone they encounter. Indeed, this place is… boring me. And nothing wants either of us bored.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Awesome!)
(Sorry for taking longer than usual to reply. IRL stuff is happening, including a schedule change. So, my response times may be a bit haphazard until I get used to it)

“Indeed you do,”Goldergon cooed.

“I see. I do not mind illusionists, particularly when their blood splatters on the ground, but that’s another story,”he said with a snicker.

Goldergon grinned at her telepathic response. True indeed.

As always. Though that Yenaliis creature needs a lesson, in the form of losing all of the tendons in her arms. Goldergon glared after Yenaliis, but dropped it when Zai touched him. He typically didn’t like being touched by others, but Zai was the exception.

Goldergon rolled his eyes at Zai’s explanation. Ah… another Trickster, I see. Only Vanishers should be allowed such title. It is useless upon most others. He snorted disdainfully.

Goldergon grinned wickedly at her response. Indeed. Where shall we go? He watched her, his golden eyes eager.

Deleted user

(Mm-hmmm!)
(You're good. Occasionally, I might have to disappear for days on end bc school sucks ass… but anyways, yeah!)

"You always have been adept at painting the walls and roofs of houses red with Illusionist blood…" Zai laughs.

Yes, she really does, doesn't she? She's always been a bit of a bitch to me, and to literally everyone else… a deviously intelligent bitch, but a bitch all the same. she replies, waving an airy hand. At the same time, I cannot help but slightly admire her ability to give Kreth a run for his money.

It truly is… however, I think Kreth is one of few exceptions. He wears the mask of deception well, no?

Zai's eyes focus on Goldergon's, knowing this is yet another test. So far, she'd managed to pass… but what? She decided to test him. To the Place Beyond Hearing. I hear that there is a lot of… fun… to be had there.

@DancingWithMyDemons business

Yenaliis watched with interest as Goldergon and Zai communicated, grinning when Goldergon glared at her.
Sure, she could't understand them, but like most things that speak telepathically, their emotions were plain on their faces.

She leaned her head on Kreth's shoulder. "If not to play with, why is the human here?" she asked, speaking straight to his mind.

Deleted user

Kreth grins. Not to play with yet, dearest. He is here for… amusement, for now.

Deleted user

Trickery, of course! What else? Kreth replies, leaning against Yenaliis, still looking at Lukas.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Test? Goldergon’s testing her? I did not know. Noise in the background. ‘Oh, shut up, Goldergon! You can tease me later’. Lmao!)

“Indeed. And not just Illusionist blood, yet all creatures,”Goldergon said with a cruel grin.

Hmm, I see. So, she would be called a royal bitch and an ass-kisser. A grand combination. Goldergon snorted, rolling his eyes.

Oh, I suppose. Yet, non-Vanisher Tricksters are the most troublesome.

Goldergon tilted his head, intrigued by her reply. The Place Beyond Hearing. I had not realized you knew of it. Indeed, there are many, many things one can do there… but, ‘tis so silent. A pity, but a creative pity. He grinned.

Though the others had resumed their activities, Goldergon ignored them. His focus was solely on Zai.

Deleted user

(I figured Goldergon was a very testing creature, and Zai definitely is. Also, Goldergon is a multidimensional being, isn't he?)
(Shut up, Zai. None of your bs.)

Zai gives Goldergon the same grin. "Yes indeed…"

Exactly. A royal bitch and an ass-kisser. She's always had issues, but around Kreth… well, let's just say nothing ends well… she snickers.

Indeed, they are. I prefer the Killers to the Tricksters or the Magicians or Illusionists. Killing is such a pleasure, and offers many more opportunities than anything.

Zai's grin turns devious and cruel. I have knowledge of many things, some of which should not be known. The silence of the Place Beyond Hearing can be solved easily, though…

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Well, he is now, lol. I didn’t even think about whether he would test others or not, but it actually fits him well. And yes, he very much is [Vanishers technically aren’t even natives of my primary multiverse, lol])

Ooh… an interesting dilemma for the little slut. Maybe Kreth may eventually decide to put an end to her. Or… maybe gift her to us, that we may do as we see fit. Goldergon laughed.

Indeed. And killing is so much fun compared to the rest of it.

Goldergon grinned at her words. So intriguing to be with another that knows many things. And even more intriguing that you can break the silence of the Place Beyond Hearing. Yet, is it not more fun to keep the silence? Imagining their screams can be just as delightful as hearing them. And some must wonder if you actually can hear them, even while imagining it.

Deleted user

(Fair enough! Also, cool. Mostly the same for Zai's race, the Blight, but the only difference is that the Blight are native to my main universe.)
(I am too, Arya.)

Maybe. But he cares… little… for the joys of others. He'd sooner kill the slut for his own pleasure than let anyone else kill her. Zai snorts.

Truly, it is.

Oh, you know the Blight: always upsetting the natural order of things. I have learned much since you last saw me. ALthough, I suppose it is… I have heard enough screams in that place to know that the imagined screams are mostly better. she laughs cruelly, a steely glint in her eyes. She crooks her arm, indicating Goldergon should link his through hers.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Thumbs-up)

Ah, one of those rude ones. More and more, Kreth proves to be an undesirable in need of being killed. But, one must be patient.

Goldergon hummed thoughtfully at her words. ’Tis always wondrous to follow the design of bringing Chaos to Order. And any scream is a good scream, as long as it is one of agony and anguish. His wicked grin returned and he linked his arm with hers.

Deleted user

Indeed… he does have that aura that makes him very… unpleasant… Zai says, laughing slightly.

Indeed, it is. Chaos to Chaos, even better. she says, pausing for a moment. Not so… the screams of the Undead- at least, the Shades and Horrors- are the least gratifying, though on more than one occasion the Nightmares have produced such beautiful sounds that my hearts feel about to burst with joy.

As Goldergon links his arm with hers, the world goes misty and incoherent, then they appear in a Voidless area of the dimension. Zai grins. Here we are… the Place Beyond Hearing. In particular, the Quiet Mountains.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Oh, sorry. My schedule has become a bit chaotic recently)
(Also, Vanishers across the board have ‘different’ logic. Technically, their sense of logic cannot be understood by any natives of my primary multiverse, though they have learned to act logical, and thus be somewhat understood. [Still working on this bit honestly])

Aura… Goldergon huffed. Auras have more meaning than him.

Hmm… Balance must remain though. Most believe Order to Chaos is best, but I, and my brethren, believe otherwise. He paused at her words and he shrugged. I have no preference as long as the victim dies in agony.

Goldergon watched how Zai transported them to the Place Beyond Hearing. He gave Zai a teasing look.

I love the transition, though I could have gotten us here much faster. Instantaneously, in fact. Though, I do love the mountains.

Deleted user

(You're good. Might I ask, is that nocturnal schedule of yours working still, or no?)
(Hmmm… interesting. I might actually change the characters part of wordbuilding to fit creatures/races as well, to better get my Blight down onto this place. [Same with my Blight, honestly.])

True. Zai laughs, just the hint of her second set of teeth flashing, like the swift flick of a fish's tail at night.

She sighs. I suppose… but it goes against my nature to leave Balance behind.

Really? I too like when my victim screams, but there is such a thing as a gratifying scream. Not all creatures scream in a way that truly conveys what they feel, and I have to find the creature that can scream like that.

She shoves Goldergon lightly. Oh, shove it. she grins. She smiles slightly at Goldergon's mention of the mountains. Indeed. So many interesting ways to kill. So many places for sound, or the lack thereof, to echo…

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(On and off. But, I’m definitely not up as late as I used to be [I went from going to bed at 4-6 am to midnight-2 am, which I’m honestly happy about]. But, besides that, everything is still chaotic, and I’m not sure when it will stabilize)
(What I do is just put a shit ton of notes in the Race spot of the character page, lol. It’s helped flesh out one of my more obscure races, even though it’s not very organized. I may change it later, or not, we’ll see)

Goldergon laughed with her, grinning wide at the glimpse of her teeth.

He snickered. Yes, it’s never fun to keep the Balance, but that is the beauty. We do not have to. It simply is. Order to Chaos and Chaos to Order are merely two halves to a cycle, the north wind meeting the south as the tornado forms.

He seemed to get lost in thought for a moment, his mind drawn to the beauty and destructive power of a tornado. He quickly shook out of it, turning back to Zai. The lingering image of the tornado now seemed to be made of the shadows of Zai’s body instead of mere wind, and Goldergon considered the image even more beautiful.

A scream of true pain can never be faked. That is the beauty of the Art of Death. You create art with another’s death. Their blood spraying in ways that seem both natural and unnatural. Their limbs and internals scattered about, both randomly and not. The glaze of their eyes as their life fades away. Each part is unique to the individual body, a masterpiece made one body at a time. He smiled thoughtfully, then chuckled. I seem to ramble quite a bit sometimes, do I not?

Goldergon laughed at her shove and words, unfazed by the lack of sound. He then grinned back at her. Yes, indeed. And, one also gets to enjoy a stunning, and inspiring, view while creating art.

Deleted user

(Fair enough!)
(I'm too… me to do that, lmao!)

True enough… it shall always be up to us, then, to ensure that the Chaos to Order is always continued. Zai replies. She reads Goldergon's thoughts easily, and grins slightly, another flash of teeth visible.

Indeed, it cannot. It is always obvious to those of us like you and me, at least. she says, pausing a moment. Exactly. Art through death, the beauty of blood splattering against fresh snow or the cold stone of an alter! Each part is indeed unique to the person, and the memories associated with them are almost as delicious as the pain itself. And no need to worry, dear. The best always ramble.

She laughs at Goldergon's acceptance of her shove. Indeed, one does. Too bad the mountains themselves cannot bleed.

She strolls away, Goldergon's arm still linked with hers.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Lol! I like to organize as much as possible, otherwise I can’t find shit, lol! And I can barely find shit as it is, lmao!)

Goldergon chuckled. Yes and no. Balance can take care of itself, but our contributions can held tip the battle.

He grinned slyly at her expression, having deliberately opened his mind so she could see the image. It pleased him that she had found it.

Indeed. He grinned wide. Precisely!

Goldergon continued to laugh when she started. Oh, Zai, they can. All things bleed. One must simply find out what they bleed, and how. His expression grew sly for a moment.

Goldergon walked with her, not surprised at all by her movements. He admired the landscape, imagining it stained with blood.

Deleted user

(I can't organize jack shit, actually. Not even my own mind, lmao! Trust me, I've tried.)
(Are we also managing to hold a time bending convo by continuing earlier shit along with the new shit?)

Zai looks at Goldergon quizically, then shrugs. I do not get what is meant by that, precisely, but I understand the gist of it.

She knows Goldergon had opened his mind to her, and decides to open hers to him. At the forefront of her mind is an image of Goldergon, made of blood and death, with wings stretching from his back.

Yes, I know, but I wish I knew how they bled… she murmurs, a violent smile crossing her face for an instant.

She hears something, and her ears perk up. She grins. We have company.

Releasing Goldergon, her pace quickens. She quickly reaches their first victims: a group of hikers. She hides in a nearby crevice, waiting for Goldergon.
