Wrynn continues to read, though still glancing around every couple seconds. After a bit though, he begins to relax after nothing really happens. Again, he's beginning to doubt his plan. If there were any mermaids they'd probably darted away as soon as he walked onto the beach.. whatever. He'll come back tomorrow with a better plan once he's done today.

At some point he starts quietly humming a rhythm to fill the silence, gentle and soft, only accompanied by the caws of birds in the distance. He makes it a few more pages through his book before he decides to look up again, peering at the ocean one last time..and then spotting it again, the form beneath the water that had seemingly creeped ever closer in the time between sightings. The humming dies down abruptly as he watches it. It definitely looks alot bigger than he thought it was, and maybe hes just being hopeful, but it looks an awful lot like a person, but with a fish tail. Of course it's still beneath the water so maybe he's just, seeing a large piece of driftwood or something..? After a couple tense seconds he glances down at his book again, and then towards the clouds in the sky, which seem to have grown closer, and darker. As much as he wants to stick around to see what it is, he runs the risk of getting caught in a downpour. But, the clouds aren't here yet, so, he can stay just a little longer. He hopes that whatever the thing in the water was hasn't seen him.

Roman stills again, watching the human. He lays there, on the sea floor, five years away from it. He watches, curious. He’s getting way to curious, he should turn back and go back to his pod. Forget that he saw this human and spend time with his adoptive family. He keeps watching the human, inching a little closer. He knew, in a flash of light, he cold shift forms and have legs instead of a tail, but the human would probably be confused, as there was no one else around.

He keeps watching, stopping when he was about three years away from the human and moving no more.
