Alice shook her thick copper hair out of her eyes, dark eyes wide and wild. "You think you two are so strong, don't you?" she laughed manically. "Look at how easily I took out your pathetic little friend."

Eli was surprised to find out that he could open his eyes. What the hell? He looked around the room and saw Ana and Leo fighting with Alice. Wait… He looked down at his body, which was now nearly transparent. The gash from Alice's blade was still visible on his arm. Oh! A ghost! That's actually pretty cool. "Look at how easily I took out your pathetic little friend." He heard Alice say. Eli smirked, walking over to the group silently. Am I walking? It's more like…floating… "Pathetic? Now Alice, that's a little rude."

Alice's expression froze and she looked over Leo's shoulder. Her jaw dropped.

Ana looked over at Eli, tears in her eyes once more. "Eli…" She had completely forgotten about the whole ghost thing. Eli grinned at her. "What? It already happened to Ella, it was bound to happen to me." She sighed, shaking her head (which was still aching). "I don't know if I should hug you or slap you for making such a dramatic exit when you knew you would come back."

Ella materialized. She registered her blood-covered friends and Eli's ghost. She glided over to them. "Looks like I missed a lot?"

Alice shook herself out of her stupor. "You kids," she took a step forward. "What kind of stupid trick is this?"

"Dunno. Maybe you're going crazy." Eli replied, shrugging. "It was bound to happen sometime, Alice."

Alice's stony expression faltered for a moment, giving way to fear. But it quickly returned. "Very true. You know, this confidence suits you."

"Thank you. This is how I prefer it." Eli crossed his arms.

Alice narrowed her eyes. She took a discreet step back.

Ana turned back to Alice and Eli smirked. "Scared?"

She shrugged and smiled. "Not especially." Her gaze flitted to the knife she had thrown at Leo a couple minutes ago, that was now lying on the floor. Her hand crept to her back where she had another pair of smaller knives.

Griffin leapt forward, tackling her to the ground.

Alice reached up and, grabbing his collar, threw him off of her. She jumped back to her feet and sighed. "Kids these days are so pretentious…"

Griffin grabbed one of her knives from its sheath and leapt up, holding it to her throat from behind.

Her shoulder sank. "Sh*t."

“Stay where you are and put your hands where we can see them, slowly.”, he growled.

Eli crossed his arms, grinning proudly at Griffin.
