Michael could feel himself dozing off. Stupid narcolepsy. Stupid me, he thought to himself
Michael could feel himself dozing off. Stupid narcolepsy. Stupid me, he thought to himself
Lavender sighed, slipping into her room and picking up a picture of Omeo, curling up on her bed. I was going to be his girlfriend…
Michael's thoughts soon turned to an incomprehensible mess, and he passed out against the wall
Omeo, laughing sweetly and pulling her through the lab, her hand tucked safely in his. Omeo, his floppy brown hair still wet from a shower, grabbing a wrench from her hand and running away while she chased after. Omeo, cupping her cheek in his hand and leaning in until their lips brushed, asking her to be his girlfriend. That was never going to happen now.
In his sleep, Michael could see all kinds of horrors. Pluto near killing him. Samandriel betraying him. He sat through it, knowing he was dreaming and uncaring at this point. He figured he deserved the nightmares after doing such a pathetic job of helping Asura
Asura jolted awake, sitting straight up. He looked around frantically, wondering how he had gotten there. His eyes landed on a mirror, and he noticed that his aura was still gone.
Michael was distantly aware of the broken lights above him sparking. Huh. Wonder if they'll burn me, he vaguely thought
Lavender put the photo back tenderly, wiping the tears from her red eyes and going to check on Asura. She knocked softly.
He jumped a bit at the knock. "Come in."
Lavender slipped in. “Feeling better?” Her eyes were lit up with concern.
Michael woke back up with a start, gasping and clutching at his throat. He felt like his heart was trying to crawl up his throat, and he wanted to run from…something, but his legs still weren't working
He shook his head. "I mean, I can move, but I'm not feeling so great." He looked up at her, worried. "What about you?"
“Me? I’m fine. Sorry about screaming so much, I—“ she cleared her throat. “I have many fears, and fire is one of them. Do you need me to get you something?”
"No, I'm fine," he said, getting out of bed and straightening his blanket. "What about Michael? Have you checked on him?" He said quickly, already making his way to the door.
Michael felt himself start to cry, still clutching at his throat
Lavender heard sobbing, and quickly rushed out after him. “I gave Gina. jump start earlier.”
His head hurt, his throat hurt, his body burned, and he didn't want to sleep, he just wanted it to stop
He knocked on Michael's door, but didn't bother waiting for an answer. He walked in and saw Michael clutching at his throat and ran over to him, panicking.
The lights were flickering again, and all Michael could think of was wishing everything would stop
Lavender kneeled down, checking Michael ‘s pulse and scanning him with her hand.
He kneeled next to him and put a hand on his shoulder, shaking him lightly. "Michael," he said.
"L-Leave me alone!" he yelled, recoiling and dragging himself as far away as possible with his legs still numb. "Y-You're supposed to be re-recovering! Go away!"
"I'm fine," he assured him. "But you're not. We're trying to help."
"I don't need help!" he sobbed
He resisted the urge to roll his eyes at that. "Yes, the person who is in obvious pain and nearly killed himself by trying to save a god, doesn't need help." Asura stood up and looked down at him. "What's going on?"
"Fuck o-off," he said weakly
"I'm not going anywhere until I know that you're okay," he said sternly, leaning against the wall. "Especially… since I was the one that caused this."
(you shinsleepy message me pls)
"You didn't c-cause shit," Michael ground out
"Bullshit!" Asura said, a little too loudly. He flinched and lowered his voice. "You didn't get the flu, you got like this because I let myself fall apart, and you were left to clean up my mess."
