"What?" Michael said, now tired again after trying to do any sort of small magic while dealing with feedback

"Dude, I've got a fucking mirror in here!" He said, excited. He pulled it out, looking into the mirror. He saw people chatting behind him in the reflection. "Do you know what this is??"
"Uhh… A mirror…I think?"
"It's a dimensional mirror!" He said, showing him the reflection. "Look!"
(so basically how dimensional mirrors work in my stories is somebody reflects energy off of the glass of the mirror, and through some bullshit that defies physics, the person is transferred to a parallel dimension. You guys can decided whether or not this works?)
(ooh, great idea!)
Lavender angrily wiped the tears off her face, going back to Michael's room. She knicked on the door, her lips already shaping an apology.
"Come in," Michael called sleepily
Lavender entered quietly, hoping her eyes weren't rimmed with red. She rubbed at the rash on her left hand self-conciously. "What's that?", she pointed to the mirror Asura was holding.
Asura rushed to the door. "A dimensional mirror!" He said, beaming at her. "We might be able to get out of here!"
"Yeah, mirror, great, I need coffee unless you're okay with dragging my sorry ass through that tiny thing."
"Do you know how to use it?" He asked Michael.
Lavender immediately started communicating telepathically. That's awesome, but keep it down. How do these work?
Don't fuckin' know, only person I know with weird magic like that is Damascus and he's probably laughing his ass off watching us in his stupid casino.
It's just energy reflection, it's not really magic. This mirror lets you see into other dimensions, and if you reflect your own energy onto it, it will send you to another universe.
Maudie stood by the door, arms crossed as she listened.
Lavender's gaze flickered briefly to Maudie. Can it get all of us through?
I don't think I'll make it through if it works like that, I've got more or less no juice to reflect.
Well, Asura said. If you have experience dealing with dimensional pockets, then yes.
Now if I had downed a pot of coffee I might be doing a little better but my brain is telling me my soul is about as detectable as a spec of dust
What's that supposed to mean? She directed that at Asura.
He sighed. There are things called dimensional pockets. They're like spaces that you can store personal things, and I happened to have a mirror in there. I might be able to teach you how to use one.
Michael sat up and squinted at the coffee maker. He tried to will it to work, but ended up accidentally aiming his magic at the light above it, causing it to shatter. "Motherfucker…"
"Stop using magic, you're going to paralyze yourself."
"Fuck off mom, I want coffee," he said, flinging an arm over his face
Asura looked over at him, very much confused, exhausted, and tired of Michael's shit. "What are you even??? Nevermind." He said. "If you want coffee, you'll have to go into the cafe and make it yourself."
Michael flung the covers off his legs. "Bitch?!" he said, gesturing wildly at the limbs
"You can figure it out," he said, waving him off. "Oh god, I'm so tired. What were we even talking about just now?"
"Gods you need coffee, Jesus…"
"I need magic, I'm literally half-dead right now," he said.
"No shit Sherlock! Stupid regeneration won't kick in for another 24 hours."
Lavender rolled her eyes, calling for Via, an android with a built in coffe maker.
"Oh sweet Jesus you have a wheely robot with a built in coffee maker, thank everything," Michael smiled tiredly as it made its way into the room
