(Oof)
Barry snorted a laugh, sweeping the houses off the board and into their container. “If you guys are heroes, then what am I?”
(Oof)
Barry snorted a laugh, sweeping the houses off the board and into their container. “If you guys are heroes, then what am I?”
"My amazing boyfriend!" Kasey declared with a light laugh.
Harper rolled his eyes and stood, gathering his things. "Well, thanks for the fun, guys, but I really should be heading back."
"Aw, really?" Kasey pouted playfully. "But I haven't seen you in forever."
Barry blushed slightly, but stood. “Feel free to stay,” he offered the superhero with a smile.
"I really do need to go, no matter how much I would love to stay. Duty calls," Harper said, smiling at them.
Kasey sighed and stood, pulling her older brother into a tight hug. "Just stay safe and be careful, okay? And say 'hi' to Madeline for me."
"Will do, Kase," Harper agreed as he hugged her back.
After another moment, Kasey reluctantly let go and walked him to the door. They said their goodbyes, and Kasey looked over at Barry with a small smile.
"So… What'd you think of the Mask?" she asked, her voice slightly teasing.
Barry shoved lightly at her shoulder, pushing a lock of hair out of his shoulder. "He was… impressive. Surprisingly human. A relatively…. normal guy?"
Kasey laughed lightly. "Exactly. He's no one special; just Harper Taylor. Just like I'm just Kasey Taylor, not super cool Kinesie."
Barry kissed her lightly, grinning. “Hey, you’re plenty cool, Kase. Come on.”
"Hm, maybe. But Kinesie is really the cool one," Kasey said with a shrug. "Honestly, I don't mind having the attention on my alter ego instead of myself. I don't care for it, really."
“Makes sense,” he admitted, ruffling her hair with a joking smile. “But you’ll always be the cool one to me.”
Kasey snorted and roll her eyes as she patted her hair down. "What have I told you about my hair?" she teased with a small smile.
“Right, sorry,” he laughed, ruffling her hair again. “You’re a princess with perfect hair, hm?”
"Barry!" Kasey laughed, pushing his hand away and fixing her hair again. "You big meanie."
“You big meanie!” Barry echoed in a high falsetto. “You’re ruining my princess hair!”
"No, not again! Stahhhhp!" Kasey laughed, moving to the kitchen to get away from his teasing.
Barry was relentless, following and continuing to mess up her hair as best he could. “Nah. This is fun.”
Kasey turned and stuck her tongue out at him. "How rude. I'm offended you think torturing me is fun," she joked, smiling.
“Mmhm.” He tugged her to him, tangling his fingers through her hair.
Kasey hummed contentedly. "M'kay… This I don't mind…" she said softly.
Barry chuckled quietly, pressing her lightly up against his chest. "What a difference a bit of closeness makes…"
"No, that's not it…" Entirely… "There's a vast difference between messing my hair up and playing with it."
"Mmhm," he repeated, slightly disbelieving. "I'm sure."
"Shh…" Kasey chuckled, kissing him gently. "It's true."
"Yeah, yeah." He hugged her tightly. "That was fun. Even though I lost."
"It was fun," Kasey agreed, returning his embrace and leaning into him.
(skip?)
(Sure. To when?)
(Next day? idk? what eventful thing could happen?)
(Lol. Um… They could go on another date?)
(Sure Lol
Or do you want to do angst?)
(Ugh… Fluff. I like the fluff. Lol. We could do angst immediately following the date, though! That would be interesting…)
