Kasey blushed and blinked a couple of times. “Oh, no, I didn’t… Um… Okay. Right. Of course… Three seconds? All right. Then start counting,” she said, letting out a soft chuckle as she started to back away.
Kasey blushed and blinked a couple of times. “Oh, no, I didn’t… Um… Okay. Right. Of course… Three seconds? All right. Then start counting,” she said, letting out a soft chuckle as she started to back away.
“Three, two…” Barry grinned like the Cheshire Cat and drive his fists through the water, completely drenching his girlfriend. “One!”
Kasey squealed and splashed him back, laughing. “No fair! You didn’t let me get far enough away!”
The water splashed up against his chest, so, laughing, he pushed another tidal wave against Kasey.
Kasey giggled and ducked underneath the water. She popped up and splashed him again before going back under water.
Come get me, babe~! she transmitted to him, laughter even in her thoughts.
Oh, you’re on, he broadcasted the thought, diving under the water.
Kasey grinned and swam away from him. She blinked her eyes open, looking at him in the eyes before she dived away again.
Barry had luckily gained the ability to keep his eyes open under water, and quickly shut off in pursuit. One of his hands wrapped around her arm, pulling her to him.
Hey! No fair! Kasey exclaimed, smiling at him, still underwater.
Barry would have chuckled if the act of opening his mouth would not have drowned him, so he merely pulled them both up to the surface, all the while grinning like mad. "I got you."
“Yeah, so I noticed,” Kasey chuckled, grinning at him. “But it totally wasn’t fair.”
"How?" he spluttered with false indignation, wiping the water from his eyes.
“Because! You didn’t give me enough time to get away!” Kasey laughed, blinking water out of her eyes.
Barry stuck out his tongue, sending another tidal wave her way. "Your own fault for being too slow~"
“Hey!” Kasey squeaked as she got splashed in the face. She spluttered water out of her mouth and splashed him back. “That was uncalled for! Now you must pay for your heinous deeds!”
Laughing, he sank beneath the water, winking up at her mischievously. Come and get me.
Oh, you’re on, babe~!
Kasey laughed before sinking down and following after him. It might take her a little longer, but she would catch him.
Barry smirked, even underwater, dodging her easily. Mmhm. I'm sure.
Kasey crinkled her nose and shot up for a quick breath. She hurried to swim after him as soon as she was back underwater.
Hey, it’s not my fault you have longer, more powerful legs than I do!
Once again, Barry dodged, coming up for a brief breath of air. Try again."
Kasey would have grumbled under her breath if she wasn’t under water. She narrowed her eyes and watched him swim away for a moment. This obviously wasn’t working. It was time for a new tactic.
She went up for a breath of air, sank down as far as she dared. She would wait there until he noticed that she was gone, and she hoped that he wouldn’t think she’d drowned. That wouldn’t be good…
Barry re-submerged himself again, expecting to see Kasey. But… there was no one there. Kasey? he broadcasted, swimming deeper. Where are you?
Don’t transmit, don’t transmit…
Kasey smiled to herself as she watched him swim closer. She had covered herself in sand and water plants from the lake, so now she was practically invisible.
Come a little closer, babe… You’re almost here…
(Jsyk, she didn’t send any of that to him.)

Baffled, he swam deeper, searching for his disappearing girlfriend. A twinge of concern interrupted his train of thought— was she alright?
When he was directly above her, Kasey shot upwards and wrapped her arms around him.
Got you!
Barry’s eyes and mouth flew open in shock, both filling with water. He shot up to the surface to take a gasping breath of air, dragging Kasey up with him. “Kasey!!”
Kasey winced when she saw his mouth open. So maybe she didn't think that one all the way through…
"Sorry… I didn't mean to scare you so badly," she apologized, looking away sheepishly. "Are you okay?"
He laughed, still spluttering a bit. “That,” he managed, “was smart thinking, babe.”
Kasey smiled and looked up at him again. "Well, I wanted to win. So I did what I had to in order to do so."
“My ruthless hunter,” he teased, shoving lightly at her shoulder.
