Laerie frowned a bit in thought. “I am not sure,” He admitted with a sheepish grin.
Laerie frowned a bit in thought. “I am not sure,” He admitted with a sheepish grin.
Michael nods. "Oh. Okay." Even… Even if he doesn't return the feelings… I'll protect him no matter what… Because he's mine. And I have to protect him.
Laerie tilted his head. “Why? Do you have feelings for anyone?”
Michael bit his lip before slowly nodding. He looks away and down.
Laerie tilted his head to the other side. “Who?”
He looks at Laerie, hesitating. Then he slowly leaned forward, barely brushing his lips against the others. "You." He breathed out.
Laerie let his lips be brushed, but gve him a confused expression. “Me? Why?”
Michael looks down. "I just… You're amazing. You're so kind and loving towards everyone… You make me so happy, and I desperately want to spend time with you… But now… You're leaving…" He whispers. His kiss was neither acted upon or refused, which made him unsure. This was a bad idea… Was he going to be rejected by his only love…?
Laerie crossed his arms slowly. “O-okay? And… what do you want me to say? I’m leaving. I… I can’t take you with me, you’re not packed…”
Michael looked down. "I was actually… Planning on leaving… My stuff is packed. You expected me to love with my parents still…?" He chuckles softly. But he still felt down. "Never mind… I just wish you the best of luck…" He muttered, feeling dejected.
Laerie swallowed and looked around. “Y-you could come with me. You’d have to pay for an airplane ticket, though…”
He looks up. "Really?" He asks softly. He felt himself smile. "Are you sure…?"
Laerie shrugged. “I’m sure my friend won’t mind.” He smiled a bit.
He smiled. "Thank you." He says softly.
Laerie nodded. “You’re welcome. Go get your things. We'll be late if we keep standing around like this.”
Michael nods and smiles. "Got it." He rushed home, grabbed his things and then rushed back.
Laerie popped the trunk and moved his things around. He put the cooler in the front seat so when they got hungry, Micheal could hand out food.
Michael had very few possessions. Just a suitcase, backpack, and bag. He smiled warmly at Laerie.
Laerie smiled back and pointed to his trunk. “In there. I put the cooler up front with you in case we get hungry or thirsty.”
He nods and smiles, placing his things in the back and walking to the front.
Laerie shut the trunk and walked up to the front and plopped down in the seat with a sigh.
“Welp, ready to go?”
Michael nods and smiles warmly, humming happily. "Let's blow this popsicle stand."
Laerie raised an eyebrow and stuck the key in ignition. “Popsicle stand?”
"Something my sister said." He laughs gently. "Guess I picked it up too."
Laerie chuckled. “I didn’t know you had a sister.”
"Older. Left home when I was about nine." He chuckles softly.
“Ah. I’m sorry.” He smiled. “Now you’re leaving, though.”
He smiles. "Yes indeed!" He grins at the other happily.
Laerie grinned back and started to drive. “Okay, here we go!”
He buckles in and smiles warmly at the other. "Whoo!"
