"So I got the game… Where were we going to play it?" Harper asked, glancing around the dorm.
"Living room. Anyone want popcorn or something? Something to drink?" Kasey wondered, looking between the guys.
"So I got the game… Where were we going to play it?" Harper asked, glancing around the dorm.
"Living room. Anyone want popcorn or something? Something to drink?" Kasey wondered, looking between the guys.
"Popcorn sounds nice," Barry admitted. "I can make it, you two go relax and to sibling stuff."
Kasey glanced up at Barry with a small smile. "Are you sure? I don't mind making it, it doesn't take that long."
“Yeah, don’t worry about it, I know where everything is.” He tossed her a smile and slipped into the kitchen.
"Okay. Thanks!" Kasey called to him before she turned to Harper. "Come sit with me. Tell me what's been going on with you."
Barry poured popcorn into a pot, turning on the stove. His mind still reeled— because the Mask was in the room next door to him.
(I had to look for Harper's girlfriend's name. Lol.)
Harper sighed and ran a hand through his hair as they walked over to the couch and sat down. "Well… You remember Doctor Willows, right?"
"Madeline? Yeah, of course," Kasey nodded. "What about her?"
"I might have asked her on a date… And then another one… And another…" Harper mumbled, not meeting his sister's gaze.
Kasey grinned and swatted at his arm. "Harper! You're dating Maddi? That's great! I always thought you two would end up together."
(lol)
(coincidentally, Madeline is the name of the side character in the story I'm writing my lil sister for Christmas :P)
He watched the kernels pop, his mind replaying the disastrous events with the wasp woman. Finally, they were finished, and he scooped the popcorn into three separate bowls.
(sorry my writing is meh, I'm a bit fuzzy in the head)
(Lol.
It's okay! Don't worry about it.)
Harper cleared his throat, his cheeks reddening. "Yeah, well, I guess you were right…"
"This is so great! You have to bring her over some time. Maybe we could go on a double date!" Kasey suggested with a grin.
(Merry almost-Christmas!)
Barry brought the popcorn back to the two siblings, and couldn't help a smile when he noted the blush on Harper's cheeks. "Here you go."
(Merry almost-Christmas to you, too!)
Kasey smiled and patted the cushion beside her. "Thanks, babe. Come sit by me."
:D
Barry settled beside her, slipping an arm around her waist. “Here you go.”
"Harper was just telling me how he finally asked our long-time friend on a few dates," Kasey explained, snuggling into Barry's side. "I was asking him about a double date. Would you want to do that?"
“Yeah sure,” he agreed, grinning broadly. “Sounds great.”
(MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!)
Kasey grinned and looked back at Harper. "So it's a plan! What about Saturday?"
"I'm actually busy Saturday," Harper said with a shrug, looking defeated. He was really just embarrassed by his sister making such a big deal out of it, though. "What about next Tuesday?"
"Hm… I think tha should work for me. Barry? Are you free then?" Kasey asked, turning back to him.
(You too!!!)
“Tuesday should be good,” he agreed, tousling his hair. “Where do you guys want to go?”
"What about the diner?" Kasey suggested with a smile. "We haven't been there since that date we went on."
Barry flushed pink, but nodded. “As long as you get the strawberry milkshake..” he murmured teasingly, recalling how her lips had tasted.
This time it was Kasey's turn to blush, and she cleared her throat as she looked away. "Yeah… Um, sure," she mumbled.
Harper cocked an eyebrow at his sister before giving her boyfriend a look. "Well, anyway… That sounds good. Kase and I used to go there a lot when we were younger. It'll be good to see everyone again."
Barry nodded, nudging Kasey once before popping a piece of popcorn into his mouth. "Awesome, it's settled." He gestured towards the boardgame. "I call the Scottie dog to be my piece."
Kasey smiled over at Barry, her cheeks still tinged pink. "I'm totally going to be the cat."
"Then I'll be… the car," Harper decided as he set the game up.
(Skip?)
(yeah sure, to when?)
(End of the game? Harper can leave and Barry can fanboy over him to Kasey? Lol.)
(Lol sure, how many hours later? My family once played a monopoly game that lasted like four days… lmao)
(Oof. Blegh. 2-4?)
(Oof
Yeah sure
Want me to start?
Also, who won?)
(If you wouldn't mind, that'd be great!
Kasey? Lol. The only girl there. XD)
Lol sure, give me a mo
Also I just realized that no one else I know says ‘give me a mo’… is that just a thing I say?)
Barry groaned, picking up his Scottie dog and frowning at it. “I trusted you, Scottie,” he pouted jokingly. “But you let Kasey win? Unfair.”
(Lol. Yeah, kinda. My friend says "okie"…)
"Sorry, guys," Kasey chuckled, picking the dog out of Barry's hand as she started to clean up the game. "I have to have good strategies for being a hero, you know."
"Hey, I'm a hero, too! And you still beat me," Harper pointed out with a raised eyebrow. "How did you manage that?"
Kasey shrugged and grinned at him. "A hero never reveals her secrets."
