(Ugh…….. I hate essays… I like writing, but that’s something entirely different to me, which some people just don’t understand.
Lol. That’s what I do 90% of the time.)
Kasey blinked as she watched the form mold into a more solid shape. This was so weird, and so much different from anything she had ever encountered before…
How was she supposed to stop her? It wasn’t like she could tie her up, like she did with the Red Falcon. She’d just dissolve into the insects again and fly away.
“May I ask what on the world is going on here?” Kinesie called as she stepped closer to the woman, finally making her presence known.
(oof
I actually enjoy most essays, but not this one..)
The woman looked up, her eyes frighteningly blank, cold. Her face remained passive, emotionless, and when she spoke, her voice was like that of thousands. "Why do you care?"
(asdfghjkl go read the Macha/Tyler rp omgggg)
(I know!!!!!!!!!! I’m, like, low-key freaking out, omw. Or… high-key freaking out… squeals silently because it would be concerning to others around me if I just randomly squealed rn)
“Because this is my city. Full of my people. And I don’t like people frightening or hurting them,” Kinesie declared, a hand resting on her hip almost lazily. She wasn’t going to look scared in front of this… person?
(IKR omgggggggggggggggggggggggg asdfghjkl is it bad that I'm getting this worked up over an rp??)
The woman scoffed, but there was no contempt behind it. There was no anything behind it. "How about I kill you first?"
(No. I legitimately almost cried because of the Piece By Piece RP the other day…)
“Why does everyone insist on killing me?” Kinesie sighed, shaking her head. “For once, I’d just like to sit down for tea with a villain.”
(it's so good!)
The woman said nothing, only clicked her tongue, which was nauseatingly black. Imeddiately, the ear-splitting noise started up again, only louder.
(Thanks!
wow, I typed that after reading through the whole thing and basically yelled it in my head because I was so stuck in the RP…)
Kasey let it a surprised sound and covered her ears again. What was the deal with this woman?
Waving a hand, she threw some miscellaneous piece of junk at her. It flew towards the woman’s side, and Kasey hoped that it would do something beneficial.
(oof)
The woman merely scattered into a cloud of insects, swarming around the superhero and forming a tight dome.
Oh, this is so not cool!
Kasey’s eyes flicked around at the wall of insects. Gosh, she really hated wasps… Why did it have to be wasps?
There was a definite malevolence in the frenzied flight of the wasps, but also a hesitation. As if they almost didn't want to harm her..
(Dude, What if she’s a good guy being controlled by a bad guy? And they don’t know that and then (s)he controls someone else and there’s some sort of defining thing that eventually leads them to him/her?)
(XD I like having good ideas. Lol.)
Kasey carefully watched the insects, wary of their stingers. “Do you really want to hurt me? What have I ever done to you?”
(you always have good ideas :)
The buzzing of the insects seemed to grow more agitated, the piercing sound faltering for a moment. But they didn't waver again, closing in.
(Aw. Thanks! You do, too! I saw that pirates RP and kinda wanted to join, but I was too late. Lol.)
“Okay, so maybe you do… But you can trust me when I say that I don’t want to hurt you,” Kasey declared, turning in slow circles.
(I was actually thinking of opening it up since we're short on people willing to enter a second character, I can get back to you tomorrow on whether or not it'll still be open. Just a warning based on what I've seen with your usual rp rules, there is an 100% chance of very gay stuff going down)
The insects slowed once more, and a confused voice– or rather, many voices– broke through. "Liar."
(Okay, I thought there would be. Unless it’s, like, a main part of the rp I can usually ignore it.)
Kasey raised an eyebrow. “Why would I lie? How would that benefit me? Honestly, I do not want to hurt you. I just want to keep my city safe.”
(it's a pirate rp lol, not a romance, and we're all cool with everything so long as it's not, like…………. unwarranted or paedophilia. oof)
The voice(s) did not speak again. Instead, as if it had made up it's mind, the swarm got rapidly closer.
(And I found yet another word you spell the British way. Lol.
Yeah… I’ll think about it if you say it’s open again.)
Kasey froze and shut her mouth. There was nothing she could do here… She was surrounded.
Wait a second… I’m a telekinetic… I could just…
Taking a deep breath, she tried to force the wasps away with her mind, pushing them out from her.
(Wait what did I spell wrong this time? paedophilia? And yeah I’ll see)
The wasps were surprisingly light, and were pushed away with wuite a bit of force. Growing frustrated, they closed in again.
(Yup, that’s the word.
Also, morning!)
Nonono. Come on Kasey, you can do this… Wait… What if I just clear a space?
Kasey pushed the wasps in a single spot, trying to make a hole she could step through.
(G’morning! How are you?)
The wasps buzzed angrily as they were forced into a shape, parting easily. The sound increased.
(I’m good! I only have English and Math to do for the next few days, and I don’t work today or tomorrow, so I’m glad about that!
You?)
Kasey stepped out of the dome, chewing on her lip in thought.
What I really need is a giant container to put over them… her?
(lucky
I'm eh. School was………………..)
Evidently in some kind of pain, the wasps moved as a whole, swelling in shape until they blanketed the ground.
(Aw. That’s a bummer. How’re you today?)
Kasey stepped back, confused and unsure of what to do. There was really not much she could do with this villain…
It’s times like these when I wish I had cooler, more helpful powers…
(Better, you?)
(What do you want me to do with the wasps?)
(I’m okay. I had to rant about being unable to write poetry, but I’m done now…
And I’m not sure. Maybe she could get called back? Leaving Kasey in utter confusion?)
(Sorry about that, what happened?)
(Yeah sure)
Suddenly, the sound stopped. Abruptly, the wasps rose up into the air, the buzzing starting back up again, only this time more urgent. Then, without warning, they condensed into a single line and shot off.
(Ugh, I had to write a poem for school, and I cannot write poetry. But I did it, and it was apparently good? Idek…)
"Okay, what. The. Heck. Just happened?" Kasey wondered, blinking as the swarm buzzed off. Her head was swimming from the confusion. And possibly from using her powers more than before…
(I’m sure it was great!)
Barry stumbled out of the car, running towards Kasey. His heart pounded, he’d felt so useless… anything could have her her and he’d have been powerless.
