"Oh, and there's the Pleiades," Kasey said, grinning as she pointed out the clump of stars.
"Oh, and there's the Pleiades," Kasey said, grinning as she pointed out the clump of stars.
Barry blinked. “I’ve been pronouncing that word wrong my whole life… oops.”
Kasey laughed lightly and turned to kiss his cheek. "That's okay, babe. I learned it from Harper's head on accident," she explained with a sheepish grin.
(head?)
(Yeah… Like, she read his mind. Sorry. It's been awhile since I mentioned her powers…)
(oh lol sorry, I forgot)
Barry let out a laugh. "Of course you did. Can you tell what I'm thinking right now?" He squeezed his eyes shut and thought hard about the heated kiss they'd shared before getting into the car to come here.
(Lol.
Whelp. Kasey's gonna be flustered…)
Kasey let her barriers down so she could peek into his mind. As soon as she did, she flushed bright red and chewed on her lip. Now she wouldn't be able to forget about that… The event had been brushed to the back of her mind, but now she was remembering it in full force.
"Mmhm… Yeah. Yup. I– I can definitely tell what you're thinking," she whispered as her lips throbbed just thinking about it.
(lmao)
Barry gave a slightly flustered, but otherwise devilish grin. "What about this?" He looked her in the eye this time, envisioning a similar scene, only this time the setting was different; a blanket spread out under a dome of stars.
Kasey felt her heart-rate pick up as she saw it, nodding silently. She chewed on her lip, trying to get them to stop throbbing.
Gosh dang it, why did he have to do this to her? Her face and neck burned as her gaze flickered across his face. She couldn't stop her eyes from glancing at his lips a few times, though she certainly tried.
Barry let out a chuckle, turning his head to look back at the stars. His eyes traced the shape of each constellation, occasionally flickering, teasingly, back to Kasey.
Kasey closed her eyes when Barry turned away from her. He was such a tease sometimes…
"Tease," she muttered under her breath as she opened her eyes to look back up at the stars.
"If you want something, you have to come and get it sometimes," he teased with a grin. "Not my fault you won't take initiative."
Kasey blushed again and rolled over to bury her bright red face in his chest. "You're mean," she murmured into his shirt.
Chuckling, Barry tugged her closer. "And you're indecisive."
"Mm-mm… I just… I'm not good with initiating things," Kasey mumbled.
"It's fine, babe, don't worry about it," he reassured quickly. "I was just teasing."
Kasey lifted her head to stick her tongue out at him. Her gaze flickered over his face for a moment, and she looked as if she was contemplating something. After a few seconds, she reached up and pressed her lips to his, pulling away a moment later.
Barry smiled, propping himself up on his elbow and reaching for her. His hand found her cheek, her jawline, thumb brushing over her cheekbone.
Kasey hummed and kissed him again. She gently pulled him closer with a hand on his neck, letting the kiss deepen.
Kissing under the stars… How romantic was this?
Barry murmured something, but it was muffled by the kiss, which was rapidly becoming more and more heated. He pressed harder, heart rate accelerating.
Kasey barely even registered him murmuring something, and in the moment she didn’t really care what it was. She was too caught up in the way their lips moved together, perfectly in sync. They hadn’t lit a fire yet, but there was certainly one growing between them.
Slowly, carefully, he bit down on her lower lip, inhaling softly as he felt something burn in his chest. I love you..
Kasey let out a soft sound as he bit down on her lip. She pressed closer to him, willing him to deepen the kiss further.
With her mind still focused on his thoughts, she caught the short phrase that meant so much to her. She decided to try something she hadn’t done in a while and projected her thoughts to him, I love you, too…
The thought exploded through his head like a series of fireworks, only stoking the wildfire that had quickly formed within him. He didn't question it, didn't pull back, only prompted Kasey's mouth open with his own, asking for permission.
And she granted it.
Kasey let him work her mouth open, her lips parting easily. She’d had a taste of this before, and now she wanted more.
Barry pushed her down against the blanket, warmth flooding him as he slowly ran his tongue over her bottom lip, before slipping it into her mouth. He didn't break the rhythm they had going, only allowed himself to explore every inch of her mouth, his passion growing with each second.
Kasey let out another soft sound as he slipped his tongue into her mouth. She gripped at his shirt, barely registering when he pushed her down.
Gosh, she loved this… She loved him. And the wish she’d made earlier would certainly come true, she could feel it.
She just wanted to be with him forever. That was all.
(awe… so cute oml)
The sound sent a rush of adrenaline through Barry's veins– he didn't think he'd ever want to stop. He continued to explore, pulling away only for a brief breath of air before he was crashing back down again.
(Lol. Thanks. I try.)
Kasey gasped a breath when he pulled away. And she was very glad she had because he didn’t give her much longer to breath before he was kissing her again. Not hat she minded. She’d go without breath for as long as she physically could if he would just kiss her this way.
Eventually, he slowed, chest heaving as he pulled away just enough to lean his forehead against hers. “Happy?” he breathed, smiling slightly.
