(It's fine! I have practice soon, so I won't be on for a while either. I'll hopefully be on later though!)
Paige's breathing slowly steadied and her heart calmed down enough for her to look around at the scenery.

Paige's breathing slowly steadied and her heart calmed down enough for her to look around at the scenery.
Mountains lined their right side, the city lining the left. Red and yellows and oranges of the tree leaves spread wide over the ground. Colton focused on the road, though.
Paige gaped at it all in awe. "This is amazing," she whispered to herself.
Colton rolled his eyes, muttering something under his breath. Eventually, he pulled the bike up onto a ledge over looking the forest.
Despite how much her fear had diminished, Paige still shook as she got off the bike. "This is so pretty!" she exclaimed happily. She turned and looked at him. "Why did you bring me here?"
Colton shrugged and walked to the edge of the ledge, dangling his legs over the edge, “It’s peaceful. And if you want to you can do your homework or whatever.” He took the cigarette packet out of his pocket and lit one.
Without even realizing it, Paige gently kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you."
Colton wiped at his cheek, scowling, “Don’t do that again.”
Paige blinked, realized what she'd done, and blushed horribly. She whispered a meek, "Sorry" and pulled a thick binder out of her backpack. A look of stress instantly painted her features.
“You honestly do all that crap?” Colton raised an eyebrow and took a hit of his cigarette.
Paige tried not to breathe in the smoke but took a sniff while she was answering him. "Yes, of cour-" she coughed heavily.
Colton didn't practically care about her coughing, "Why? It's pointless."
Paige couldn't stop coughing, so she couldn't reply. She turned her head away from the smoke in a desperate attempt to clear her lungs.
Colton rolled his eyes, stomping out his cigarette with a sigh, "Girls…" He muttered.
Paige blushed and sighed. What had she expected to find out here? "I'm sorry," she said, her back still to him.
"Yeah, whatever." Colton grumbled, clearly annoyed that he had to put his cigarette out for her.
Paige took her binder in her arms, stood up, and walked away from the ledge. "Go ahead," she called behind her. "I don't care." She walked for a bit until she found a nice place to sit. "I left my backpack!" she groaned. Oh well. She wasn't going back.
Colton chuckled, "Well, if you really want it you can walk yourself back 'cause I'm not leavin'."
Paige rested her face in her hands. You only make things worse.
(Gtg for tonight, bye!)
Colton sighed, running a hand through his messy black hair with a sigh. Maybe bringing her here was a bad idea…
(bye!)
She lifted her face, took her phone out of her pocket, and plugged in her earbuds. She hit shuffle on her library and Criminal by Brittany Spears began to play. Of course.
Colton took the moments while she was working to just think. About everything and never focusing on one thing. He lit another cigarette at some point.
The song ended and Paige got up and walked back over. She could smell the new cigarette burning and did her best to hold her breath. "Um… Colton? I'm really sorry," she apologized sincerely.
Colton frowned at her, "What the hell are you sorry for?"
"That you had to put out your-" she inhaled and gagged in the back of her throat, but swallowed it quickly so he wouldn't notice- "cigarette."
Colton shrugged, "It's fine, don't worry." He took one last hit of his cigarette before stomping it out.
Smoke from it flew into her face. She tried not to breathe it in and instead focused on putting her binder into her backpack.
Colton stood up and stretched, his muscles clearly defined in his too small shirt but he didn't care, "Ready to go?"
"Where are we going?" Paige responded, zipping her backpack up.
