"Oh really, tell that to the stairways at the school?" Valerie returned with her own pout. But she threw a hand into the air and opened the front door. "You've got ten minutes…" she grumbled as she went outside.

Clyde shouted a 'thank-you' after her and took Bri back into his arms. "Austin, you've got a good woman. Give her a nice big kiss for me, I know we're getting on her last nerve right about now."

Briania smiled as she held on to clyde.

Valerie started the car and sat in the driver's seat. She checked her phone before resting her head against the steering wheel.

Val turned to Austin. "Mhmm….kinda….maybe?" She paused. "No." Placing her phone on her lap, she sighed. "Austin, I don't want to ruin this. This is the last time we'll all be together for a little while."

"Oh really? How about the time my lunatic father came and ruined Bri's Sweet 16, just because I forgot to fill his tank when I used his car? Or the time those senior dudes came to your celebration party when we found out you got accepted to Harvard, and vandalized Clyde's car? All because of me!"

Val turned and slapped Clyde's arm, laughed. "Shut up you dork!"

Clyde pretended to cry as he leaned against Bri. "Somebody call the authorities…" He whimpered.
Val rolled her eyes. "Whatever." She turned the keys in the ignition.

Clyde laughed. Val turned on the radio. "Blah, blah…stop it ya babies."

Briania pouted. She reached in her backpack that was now on the floorboard beneath her feet and pulled out her song book reading cover some songs.

Clyde nuzzled into her, looking over the book as well. "Will you sing for me?" He asked her.

Briania Nodded ¨What kind of song do you want me to sing¨ she asked.

Clyde shrugged. "It's all beautiful when it's coming from you."

Valerie glanced at Austin. "To the border, there's a camp that we can stay at and spend the night under the stars."

"I got enough tents for each of us." Val said to Austin. "But… you can share with me if you want."

Clyde was practically glowing. He loved spending time with Bri. He could wait until the day he would spend all his time with her, and her alone. But, this was a close second for the time beings. He pulled her against himself and kissed her forehead.
