Macy smiled as she sat in front of Brandi. "I get to drive?" she giggled.
Macy smiled as she sat in front of Brandi. "I get to drive?" she giggled.
"No, but your dad wishes for your utmost safety. So, you get to rind in front of me."
"Yay!" She cheered. She put her helmet on and smiled. "I'm ready."
"I see that." Brandi chuckled. "Hold on to me when we ride, I need you to stay safe for me."
Macy held tightly to Brandi. She loved riding on the motorcycle. She hummed her ABC's as they rode.
"Okay darling, we're here." Brandi said, lifting Macy up and setting her on the ground.
Macy gave Brandi a peck on the cheek. "Thank you." She squeaked. She fixed her book-bag and walked into the waiting arms of a smiling teacher. A teacher with red, curly hair, and green eyes, Ms. Edith. She looked back and waved to Brandi, just as their phone began to ring. Liam was calling.
Brandi returned the wave while picking up the phone. "Hello?" They spoke into the speaker, holding it up to their ear for a response.
"Hey." Liam rumbled, his voice deep. "Did you get her there in one piece?" He asked with a slight laugh. He always teased them for their brilliant driving skills.
"Yes I did you bloody arse!" They muttered into the phone, hopping onto their cycle. They had just gotten a notification that someone new was on the kill list. "Anyhow! I have another job!"
"Yeah. Doesn't Luther owe debt? He just made bail, so you can go collect now…" Liam replied. He'd been more satisfied than the thug himself when he'd took the cuffs off the brute.
"Huh, yeah he does. That's not the job though. I have to get rid of some rats in the system." They say.
"Oh, goodie…. Dinner is at 8:00, sharp. I'm not staying up any longer than 10." he chided. He doubted he'd stick to his words though.
"Okay, I have to go now. Talk to you later." Bradi said into the phone as they hung up and went on their way to their job.
Liam did half-hearted work, more or less waiting for the call in they would get from a patrol. A murder, the 3rd one that week.
