“It’s good to be curious though,” Elide said, shrugging, “It’s something I lack.”
“It’s good to be curious though,” Elide said, shrugging, “It’s something I lack.”
Idi sighed. “It’s just a natural thing, then. I’ll have these done soon, okay?”
Elide nodded, “Okay. Tryin’ to get me out of your hair?” She teased.
“Nah, trying to get me out of your hair.” She smiled over her shoulder at her.
“I think you’re pretty nice, I wouldn’t mind staying her for longer then necessary.” Elide smiled shyly.
Idi smiled back. “That’s very kind of you. I wouldn’t mind if you stayed.”
“Really? Because if I’m intruding in your work then I can leave.” Elide said quickly.
“Oh, no no, you’re not intruding anything, dear. Don’t worry about it.”
Elide wasn’t convinced but nodded, “If you say so.”
Idi smiled warmly in her direction. “I know so.”
Elide blushed a little, “So, Idi, do you mind telling me a little about yourself?”
Idi hummed. “Well, I have already told you about myself. I’m not a very interesting woman.”
“Surely there’s something interesting?” Elide raised an eyebrow.
Idi chuckled. “I’m a woman as a blacksmith. That’s interesting enough.”
Elide cocked her head to the side but nodded, “True. Did you always want to be a blacksmith?”
Idi smiled happily. “It was. Now I’m almost as happy as could be.”
Elide smiled, “That’s good to hear.”
Idi nodded happily and looked back at the knives. “It can get lonely, though.”
“I can imagine. Don’t you have any friends?” Elide bit her lip.
Idi shook her head. “Just customers.”
Elide’s face fell, “Oh… well, I’ll be your friend. If you want, that is.”
Idi smiled over. “Would you? I’d love that!”
Elide smiled back, “Great! When do you go on break? We could get to know each other better?”
