Once Elide finished the song, she wiped away a fear stray tears that had fallen down her cheek. She released a breath, “There…”

Phoebe sat up with a smile, but it quickly dropped off her lips when her eyes fell on the tears staining Elide's face. "Elide?? Are you okay?"

“Hm? Oh yeah, just got too into the song was all…” Elide cracked a small smile as she went to place the guitar back by the boxes.

"You sure?" Phoebe drifted after. "And by the way, you were fantastic."

Elide blushed, “Thank-you. And I’m sure, really.”

Phoebe's smile re-appeared on her face, still shadowed by concern. She nodded, wrapping her arms around Elaine's middle so that her stomach was pressed into her crush's back. "Where'd you learn to play?"

Elide blushed a little more and leaned back into Phoebe, “Dad. He played electric guitar and I asked him to teach me… and also YouTube.”

“Well, you’re fantastic.” Phoebe brought her head forward so that her cheek was pressed up against Elide’s.

Elide closed her eyes and smiled, “Thank-you. It means a-“ She didn’t get to finish as Shep let out a playful bark that set her giggling.

Phoebe burst out laughing and knelt in front of the energetic puppy, bringing a finger up as if she was going to reprimand him. “Shep, behave. How am I going to flirt with Elide if you keep interrupting?”

Elide laughed and jumped onto her bed, “I dunno. How are you going to flirt with me if my adorable puppy gets in your way?” Shep barked again and followed Elide onto the bed.

Phoebe laughed and attempted a fake pout. “But aren’t I adorable too? I deserve a cuddle too~”

“You’re very adorable. And if you want to cuddle then you’ll have to kick Shep off the bed.” Elide bit her lip with a smile as she looked up at Phoebe.

Phoebe grinned, looking apologetically at Shep and lifting him off the bed in one smooth movement. “Sorry, Shep, she cuddles with you every day.”

"My poor baby," Elide pouted a little, "But at least I've got you."

Phoebe grinned mischievously, tucking herself up against Elide’s side and resting her head on the girl’s shoulder. “Mmhm.”

Elide giggled and wrapped an arm around Phoebe's middle, tangling her legs with the others, "What time do you have to be home by?"

Phoebe blushed, eyes flickering down to their entangled limbs, but she smiled. “That depends on what time you want me home by.”

"Then I don't want you to ever leave…" Elide muttered, twisting a strand of Phoebe's hair around her finger.

Phoebe felt a shiver of something unidentifiable pass through her, but whatever it was, she definitely liked it. Trying to summon the feeling again, she turned her head just enough to press a kiss to Elide’s cheek. “Your wish is my command..” she said jokingly, meaning it partially.

Elide smiled and moved so she could bury her head in the crook of Phoebe's neck, "Good to hear…"

Phoebe ran her fingers gently through Elide’s hair, reveling in the feeling of the other girl’s warm skin on hers. “Mmhm.”

"That feels nice…" Elide muttered, referring to Phoebe's fingers in her hair. She really did wish that she would never leave.

“At least I’m doing something right, then,” Phoebe said with a slight laugh, her fingers brushing the nape of Elide’s neck.

Elide leaned into Phoebe's touch, "Trust me, you're doing everything right."

“Really?” A spark lit up inside of Phoebe, and the shivering feeling returned. “That’s a huge relief..”

Elide smiled and let her eyes fall shut, "Mhm, there's no need to worry because you're doing everything perfectly…"

Phoebe’s heart tremored. “You are too,” she managed, rubbing lazy circles into Elide’s back.

Elide's smile grew and she opened her eyes, twinkling, "I'm glad…" She muttered before pressing her lips to Phoebe's.

Phoebe’s eyes fell shut, hands moving to angle her body and cup Elide’s face. She shivered outwardly this time, orsssing her lips harder against Elide’s.
