"Sure." Phoebe gave her a grateful smile, picking up the remote and shifting slightly when Jane moved to rest her head on her shoulder (btw it's 100% platonic, they have a very platonic physically affectionate relationship, I have the same with a bunch of my friends).
(Me too)
Elide nodded, standing and heading to the kitchen. She searched the cupboards until she found the popcorn and placed it in the microwave, enjoying the sound of the constant pop, pop, pop.
After flipping through a bunch of movies, Phoebe and Jane settled on Forest Gump, Jane sighing slowly. "It just seems so surreal…" she murmured. Phoebe nodded, biting down on her lip. "Yeah. "
Elide sighed and emptied the popcorn into bowl in front of her. She blinked a few times before grabbing the bowl and heading back to her friends.
"Hey," Phoebe greeted quietly when Elide re-entered the room, tugging her down on the couch next to her and pulling her close. "Thanks, Elide."
“It’s no problem…” Elide replied, placing the bowl in the middle of the three of them. She subtly curled into Phoebe a little.
Jane 'bent down to tie her shoelace', giving Phoebe the chance to whisper something into Elide's ear. "Jane knows about me, she's totally fine with it, don't worry. I get if you still want to keep this quiet from her, though."
Elide released a breath she didn’t know she was holding, “I don’t care if she knows,” But then a thought dawned on her, “What- what is this?”
Jane 'started tying her other shoelace.' Phoebe bit her lip, nose brushing against Elide's temple. "Whatever you want it to be. I'm comfortable with whatever you are."
“Me too,” Elide whispered, a faint blush rising to her cheeks.
Phoebe kissed Elide's cheek gently, tucking her up against her side. "Be my girlfriend?" she whispered, hope lighting up her eyes.
Elide nodded, “Yeah, I will.” She blushed a little harder, biting her lip.
Elation filled her up like hot air to a balloon, and she couldn’t stop a huge grin from spreading across her face. “That’s— I’m beyond happy right now. Ohmygod. I have a girlfriend. Oh my god”
Elide giggled and shook her head slightly, “Yeah, you do.” She presses a kiss to Phoebe’s lips and took some popcorn.
Jane couldn’t help a smile, seeing her best friend— and her new friend— so happy. “I guess I’m the one third-wheeling now. At least Phoebe won’t be alone when I spam her about Josh at 2am.”
Phoebe blushed lightly.
Elide nodded, placing some popcorn into her mouth, “One of the befits of being in a relationship.”
Jane chuckled, causing Phoebe’s blush to deepen. “You’ll have to tell me your secret, Josh is oblivious to everything I do.”
Elide shrugged a shoulder, “I really don’t know how I did it so I can’t really help you there.”
Phoebe pressed closer to her girlfriend, temporarily relieved of the weight on her shoulders. “He totally likes you. Even Elide could probably tell if she saw you two interacting in the mornings, and she doesn’t know you guys that well yet!”
Elide nodded, leaning into Phoebe with a small smile, "I've barely seen you two interact but it's obvious, even if you can't see it."
“See? I told you!” Jane blushed slightly under the onslaught of Phoebe’s teasing.
Elide poked Phoebe in the ribs playfully, "Stop teasing."
Phoebe stuck out her bottom lip in a mock pout, but relented. “Fine. Are we going to watch this movie or what?”
“If you stop talking then we might.” Elide replied, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Phoebe was so, so tempted to ask Elide to shut her up, but since Jane was there she merely huffed and closed her mouth,
Elide giggled and snuggled into Phoebe’s side. She took some popcorn and plopped it into her mouth.
Jane started the movie, and all three girls pressed closer to each other. Phoebe cuddled Elide as best she could, hugging her girlfriend tightly with one arm.
Elide released a long breath through her nose. She was still giddy from before but willed herself to calm as she watched the film.
(Skip? Sorry I wasn’t on much last night)
(It's fine, don't worry :)
After the movie finished, Elide did a little cat like stretch to wake herself up a little more, "Good choice in film…"
