Kasey squeezed his hand gently and rubbed his head with her other hand. “Do you want me to go get you some from my place?”
Kasey squeezed his hand gently and rubbed his head with her other hand. “Do you want me to go get you some from my place?”
“I’ll be fine,” he mumbled, sitting up and clenching his teeth in an attempt to halt the wave of queasiness. “Thanks, though. I should probably stop complaining now.”
“I think you have good reason to complain,” Kasey chuckled. “Do you want water or something? Anything at all?”
"Water. But you don't have to get it for me, I caused you enough trouble last night," he told her with a slight smile, pushing himself up and off the bed. "Do you want anything? To eat or drink?"
“No, I’m fine. But, Barry, I want to help you,” Kasey insisted, standing and putting her hands on his arms to stop him.
Barry sighed, smiling ever so slightly. "Kase, I'll be fine. It's just a hangover, no big deal." He slipped her hands off his arms and pressed them against his lips before moving towards the sink.
Kasey sat back down on the bed, making a face at him. “You helped me when I was hurting, so it’s my turn to help you. Let me, please?”
Finally, Barry relented, sitting back down with a soft whumph. "Fine. Thanks, sweetheart." He smiled, but let out a soft groan as pain spiked through his forehead.
“I’m going to get you ibuprofen. I’ll be right back,” Kasey said softly as she stood. She pressed a quick, gentle kiss to his forehead before hurrying to her room.
I'm so lucky to have someone who cares about me this much…
Barry let his eyes fall shut, strangely content. I love her.. I should tell her that I love her more often. I'll tell her when she comes back inside.
After grabbing the bottle of medicine and a fuzzy blanket, Kasey walked back to Barry’s room. She smiled at him quickly before pouring him a glass of water and sitting beside him on the bed.
“Here,” she said as she handed him the ibuprofen and water. Unfolding the blanket, she spread it across their laps.
Barry nosed aside a strand of Kasey's hair to kiss her temple and gratefully took the medicine and water. "Thanks, Kase. I appreciate it," he told her sincerely, taking the ibuprofen and snuggling closer to her. "I love you."
Kasey smiled at him softly and kissed his cheek back. “I love you, too.”
He sighed happily despite his throbbing head, bumping his nose up against hers. "If I knew a hangover would mean lot's of cuddling, I would have had one sooner.."
Kasey groaned and made a face. “I’m glad you didn’t. And please tell me this won’t ever happen again. If you want to cuddle, just tell me.”
Barry chuckled, wincing slightly as his headache intensified. "Fiiine, you're no fun," he teased, tugging her closer. "Maybe next time it'll be you getting drunk."
“I don’t plan on it,” Kasey chuckled, kissing his cheek lightly.
"Hey, I didn't plan on it either, and it still happened to me!" he protested, sticking out his bottom lip slightly.
“Well, let’s try to keep from doing so again,” Kasey teased him, kissing him quickly.
(Honestly, though, that would be funny. Another party sometime?)
(yess)
"Yeah, yeah." Barry drew her in for another, longer kiss. "Can we make a couple rule? No mean, quick kissing?"
“Sure,” Kasey chuckled, softly kissing him again.
Barry smiled into the kiss, enjoying their closeness. "Remember our first kiss?"
(It took me forever to find that. Gosh. Lol.)
"Oh my gosh, I was so awkward," Kasey remembered, cringing. "I apologize on behalf of my past self."
"Hey, don't apologize, that was a great kiss. We were both more than a little flustered." He grinned, nudging her nose again.
(lol)
“You were cooler than I was, though,” Kasey said, blushing as she nudged him back gently.
"On the outside, maybe. On the inside? Not so much." He tightened his grip around her slightly. "Besides, it wasn't my first kiss, I sort of knew what to do with my mouth."
“Lucky you,” Kasey mumbled, still thoroughly embarrassed by herself.
Barry chuckled, holding her face gently in his hands. "Mmhm, very lucky me. I got to kiss you for the first time."
Kasey smiled a bit as she looked at him. “And I got to kiss you. So I was definitely happy as well.”
Barry flushed slightly, leaning in for a soft kiss. "I'm glad.."
