Barry chewed on his lower lip, holding various vials up to the light until he'd decided on a selection of them. "If you're okay with it, it'll be able to move around on your skin. If you want it could be able to sing, I've got some excess potion for that."

“I’m fine with it moving, but… maybe no singing,” Kasey chuckled. “I found a couple of pictures if you want to see?”

Barry nodded with a grin. “Point taken. And sure.”

Kasey pulled up the first one to show him and turned her phone around. “I though this would be nice, but the second one is actually my favorite. It’s a bit more intricate, though…”

Barry chewed on his lip, looking both pictures over. “I can do the second one, if you want, it’s no problem. Where do you want it?”

Kasey grinned and set her phone down in front of her, pulling her legs up so they were crossed. She slid her sleeve up her arm and circled an area on the inside of her forearm with her finger. “Somewhere around here.”

Barry pretended to heave a huge sigh of relief. “More discreet than last time, then,” he teased.

Kasey snorted and rolled her eyes, blushing slightly. “Yeah, I’m not getting another one like that for a while.”

Barry decided to tease her further. “Aw…” He then burst out laughing at the expression on her face. “I’m kidding!”

(I have an idea for a love triangle RP and I was wondering if you wanted to join? I asked Natasha, too.)

Kasey’s blush deepened a bit. “Oh, stop it… You know you enjoyed it,” she said, teasing him right back.

Barry’s cheeks flamed up, and he set down the vial he was holding. “Are you saying you didn’t?”

(Totally fine! I’m glad you want to join! I’m titling it “What If…?”)

“No…” Kasey admitted, her pink cheeks matching Barry’s. “What makes you think that?”

“I’m just teasing, Kase.” Barry smiled a little, still flushed, leaning in for a gentle kiss. “We should probably get going on this tattoo..”

“Yeah, probably,” Kasey agreed, giving him a small, somewhat flustered smile. “Do you have yours picked out?”

“Yup,” he replied, showing her. “This shade of green, royal blue, plum, lilac, and a lighter shade of turquoise, plus a hint of silver and black. What do you think?”

“It sounds beautiful! I can’t wait to see it,” Kasey said, her smile turning into a grin.

Barry shrugged bashfully, transferring the design onto carbon paper and pressing it against her skin until a faint design appeared for him to stencil over. “Tell me if it hurts too much.”

“I’m sure it’ll be fine,” Kasey said softly, getting a squishy stress ball thing from her nightstand to hold in her opposite hand. “But I’ll let you know, anyway.”

Barry nodded, taking hold of her arm with one hand and gently inserting the needle with the other. His movements were careful, precise, and he made sure to pause every time he heard Kaseyès breathing strain. About an hour into the tattoo, he broke the silence. "You good? Want to take a break?"

“No, no. I’m fine. Keep going,” Kasey breathed, giving him a small smile. She squeezed her squishy a few times.

Barry smiled up at her encouragingly, beginning to work on the ‘eyes’ of the tail feathers.

Many hours later, Barry let out a sigh and set down the inking machine, stretching his cramped fingers. “All done.”

Kasey sighed in relief, letting her stress ball fall to the ground. “Good, good. Now I’m really hungry,” she chuckled. “Should I make something for lunch?”

“Sure, just let me bandage you up first. How does it look?” Barry reached for his bandages.

(I’ve got to go… Night!)

“It’s beautiful, Bare. I love it,” Kasey said softly, leaning over to kiss him gently. “Thank you.”

(Night!)

Barry smiled into the kiss. “Anytime. Glad you like it.” On Kasey’s arm, the peacock stretched its head and blinked. Barry began to wrap it up in a bandage.
