(NOOOO)
(I’m okay)
Tyler stayed down at her while the nurse went to get a doctor. He leaned down and picked her up with great difficulty, holding her in his lap. He glanced over to the pile of papers on the side of his bed. “Macha…” He murmured, looking back at the girl in his arms. “Is it you?”
(hehe)
(I'll prolyl kill– I mean bring her back)
(ooh what if Tyler did the mind-speaking thing and she could hear him?)
(okay as in..?)
Macha's body remained limp in his arms, she didn't feel them around her; she was so far away.
So
Far
Away.
(You better NOT)
(Sounds good)
(Ahhh like tired, the normal stuff)
Macha? Please wake up so I can see you again. Help me remember.. He thought as the doctor walked in. “Glad to see you awake Tyler. Here, let us have Macha for just a second so we can help her.” She said, but Tyler held her closer to his chest. “No. She’s staying here, with me.”
(Hehe)
(Oof sorry)
Tyler’s voice— his real voice— broke through the memories. And she wanted to comply, she anted to do as he said so badly— but she couldn’t move. Caught between Life and Death. Forever.
(NO)
(Ah I’m good :)
“Please Tyler. She needs medical attention.” The doctor said, reaching forward. “No. She needs me.” He said angrily. Please Macha..
:)
Macha reached out to him— and that’s when she saw it. A bright light, hanging through the darkness. The wire light— the one from the prophecy? She found herself able to drift closer, holding onto Tyler with one hand and reaching out to touch the door to Death with the other.
Stay with me… He leaned down and kissed her forehead gently, willing her to wake up.
Stay with me…
Macha turned back to him, then looked back to the light. And that’s when she saw him— really saw him— cradling her body. The choice was easy after that.
I choose you.
Macha’s eyes flew open.
Tyler grinned and pulled her up so he could hug her, burying his face in her shoulder. "Welcome back.." He murmured.
Macha’s eyes widened, filling with tears. “Tyler—— oh my god Tyler— you’re alive— oh my god—“ She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him hard, burying her face in his hair.
"I am alive. You did that." He said quietly, hugging her back.
Macha broke down in his arms, holding his face in her hands and covering it with kisses. “I thought— I thought I was never going to see you again— I thought I would have to die to talk to you one more time— they were going to pull the plug on you— oh my god I missed you so much——“
"W-what happened?" He asked quietly, almost a whisper. "Where are we?"
“We’re in the hospital— you went into a coma for weeks- you’re body was failing— they were going to pull the plug—“
"Why does my shoulder hurt? What happened before this? Why are you here?" Tyler asked, looking all around him, frowning, trying to remember.
Macha didn’t let him go. “That woman— she shot you. Almost killed you. Do you— do you remember turning into the demon?”
"I…" He sighed, resting his head on her shoulder. "I'm sorry.."
“Don’t be sorry— Tyler you almost died— oh god it was hell without you— I missed you so much—“
"Without me? You were with me before?"
“No— I mean— you’ve been here for weeks. I couldn’t— I stopped functioning when you were- unconscious. I missed you. So much.”
"I..I can't remember anything..from the last few months…nothing.." His eyes filled with tears. "I'm sorry…"
“Hey, hey, it’s fine, don’t worry about it.” Macha reached up with shaking hands to wipe the tears that brimmed over. “I’ll fill you in when you’re a bit less disoriented.”
"Thank you.." Tyler said quietly, falling back onto the bed. "I'm really tired.." He said, staring up at the ceiling.
Macha lay down beside him, gently closing his eyelids. “Then sleep.. I’ll be right beside you the whole time.. I love you.”
One of the doctors came in. "Glad to see you awake Tyler and I know you must be very tired but we need to give you some tests before we let you leave." She said. Tyler blinked up at her, frowning. "Fine." He said, sitting up.
Macha sat up as well, squeezing his hand lightly. Drowning in gratitude— because he was alive, her Tyler was alive— she kissed him on the cheek.
A nurse unhooked his IV's and helped him up as he smiled back at Macha. He stumbled a bit before regaining his balance and following the doctor out of the room.
Macha trailed after, afraid to let him out of her sight.
“Why are you following me?” He laughed a little, looking back at her.
"Because I'm scared to let you go," she replied honestly, taking hold of his hand and revelling in the fact that he was alive.
