(Aw… Thanks… I feel like everything isn’t that way, so you saying that means a lot to me. I used to be really bad at writing descriptively, so I’m trying to improve. I’ve gotten better in some areas, but setting is still hard for me. Thankfully, I have a friend who’s great at it!)
“You should sleep, too,” Kasey murmured tiredly. “I can be an exhausting person…”
(You’re great at it too don’t worry!)
“You? Exhausting?” Barry blinked, astonished. “Never.”
(Aw, thanks. You’re really good at writing out actions and stuff like that. That’s something else that’s hard for me.)
“I can get into danger when I’m super-ing. It can be tiring to try and keep me alive,” Kasey mumbled, clearly no longer fully awake.
(Writing feelings is difficult for me, so I guess we’re balanced. And you’re great at actions!)
Barry chuckled and stroked her hair. “Shh, sweetheart, sleep…”
(Lol. You actually write them really well, I think! I only write actions well after a lot of thought on how something should go… It’s taken a lot of practice…)
“Mmhm…” Kasey hummed, nodding slowly before she drifted into the blissfully headacheless world of sleep.
(Well, it turns out fantastic)
(Skip?)
(Well, thanks. 😊
Skip sounds good. The next day?)
(Sure, What jf Kenzie walked into the room before Kasey woke up so she and Barry could interact?)
(Sure!
You just wanna see more Kenzie, don’t you? Lol. Jk.
One sec…)
Around eight o’clock the next morning, McKenzie walked into Kasey’s bedroom to let her know that should would be out for the rest of the day, but her roommate was fast asleep. With her boyfriend.
Making a slightly embarrassed face, she started to back out quietly, hoping that she hadn’t woken either of them.
(Loll)
Barry’s eyes fluttered open to the sight of Kenzie, Kasey’s roommate, backing out awkwardly. “S-Sorry— Kenzie was tired last night—“ he stammered, heat rising to his cheeks.
(Oh, hey! You wanna hear about what happened near(ish) my house today?)
“No, I’m sorry for waking you,” Kenzie said softly, stopping her retreat. “You should go back to sleep. I’m sure she would want you to.”
(Yeah sure!)
Barry shrugged loosely, blinking the sleep from his eyes. “I’m awake now. Sorry for invading your dorm.”
(So yesterday morning, we heard a really loud boom and our house literally shook… And then I was talking to my friend, and she told me that a meth house exploded about a half a mile away from us… We felt it a half a mile away!
I looked it up this morning, though, and it says “Apparent Gas Explosion.”)
“Oh, no, you’re good. I didn’t even notice you were here until I walked in, obviously,” Kenzie chuckled softly.
(Oh my god)
Is everyone okay??
Barry began to slowly rub Kasey’s back without realizing it. His face was still pink from embarrassment. “Th-Thanks. Uh— don’t leave on our accord, it’s fine.”
(I think the owner was critically injured, and the houses around it were severely damaged, but I’m pretty sure no one died…)
Kasey hummed in her sleep and moved closer to Barry, causing Kenzie to look at her friend with a smile. She glanced back up at Barry and shrugged.
“I was actually going to go to Hunter’s today, so you guys are fine. Let Kasey know I’ll be out all day, please?”
I’m glad no one got hurt, and I’m sorry about the owner)
Barry nodded, smiling down at Kasey. “Sure. Have a nice day, I guess.”
(The perks of living in the city… Whee…)
“Thanks. You guys, too,” Kenzie said with a smile before walking out.
After she’d left, Kasey stirred again, blinking her eyes open with a soft groan. She saw Barry and smiled sleepily. “Morning…”
(Big Oof)
“G’morning sleepyhead,” he murmured, kissing her nose with an affectionate smile. “Feeling a little better?”
“Mmhm,” Kasey hummed, grinning up at him. “My headache is gone, and I’m sure I’ll be more awake after breakfast or something.”
Barry kissed her nose again. “Fantastic. I’m glad you’re feeling good.” He wrapped his arms more securely around her and rolled over so that he was on his back and she was laying on his chest.
(My fingers are so sore… I just got back from archery with a friend, and I did pretty well!)
Kasey giggled lightly and cuddled into him. “I’m glad I’m feeling good, too.”
(whoah archery sounds pretty cool. I hope your fingers feel better lol)
"Mm." Barry kissed her forehead sweetly. "Does the superhero want breakfast in bed?"
(It’s fun! I love medieval stuff, so I like it a lot. I use a more modern bow and arrows, though. Lol.)
“I want to eat with you, so wherever you want to eat is fine with me. I actually do have a dining room, but it never gets used,” Kasey chuckled, kissing him back on the cheek.
(xD medieval stuff is very cool)
Barry leaned into her touch before carefully getting out of bed. "Stay put, I'll make you breakfast."
(I asked my stepdad for a sword, and he said he’d make me one…)
“I can help you,” Kasey insisted, pushing herself into a sitting position.
(you have one awesome stepdad in that case
other than the whole not going on notebook thing)
Barry gently pushed her back down. "Let me do something for you. Am I not allowed to make breakfast for my girlfriend? Besides, you need to rest."
(Lol. Yeah. He’s great except for when he gets overly serious.)
“I’m fine now, Bare, really,” Kasey assured him, though she relaxed back into the bed.
(oof, same with my dad)
Barry kissed the tip of her nose for the third time that day. "Relax." He pulled away, making his way over to the kitchen. "Do you have ingredients for French toast?"
“I probably do. Eggs and milk are in the fridge, bread is on the counter beside it,” Kasey informed him with a soft smile.
