“Hold on a second. You were a superhero. In highschool. Your brother is the Mask. And you just forgot to mention it??” Barry’s eyes were wide. “Whoah.”
“Hold on a second. You were a superhero. In highschool. Your brother is the Mask. And you just forgot to mention it??” Barry’s eyes were wide. “Whoah.”
“Um… Yeah… I mean, it never really came up, so I just… didn’t mention it…” Kasey trailed off with a sheepish shrug, looking down at her lap. “You’re not upset, are you?”
“Kase, why on Earth would I be upset?” He pulled onto the designated street. “Just… stay safe. Anything you want me to do to help?”
Kasey breathed a sigh of relief and gave him a small smile. “Just stay safe. Please. And maybe… Cooperative weather might be nice?”
“I’m on it. I—“ he stumbled over his words. “I don’t want you getting hurt. Be careful.”
“I always am,” Kasey said softly before reaching over to kiss him quickly.
Barry kissed her back before pulling away and letting her go, his heart heavy. She was running into danger… but there was nothing he could do to stop her. “I love you. Go get ‘em.”
“I love you, too. I’ll be back as soon as possible, I promise,” Kasey assured him with a small smile before she stuck her mask on and stepped out of the car.
Barry watched her helplessly as she left, shutting his eyes and concentrating on the skies above.
Kasey walked over to a feminine figure wearing a bright red suit with wings, which currently kept her inter air. The Red Falcon, local villain, though she had no powers of her own. They all came from her suit. Kasey would need to be careful to not let her give an ear-splitting shriek.
“Ah, finally! Some fun!” the villainess laughed, lowering herself to the ground and closing her wings behind her. “Looks like Kinesie is back in town, everyone!”
“Put a sock in it, Falcon,” Kasey Kinesie sighed, shaking her head as she continued to step closer. “Why are you doing this?”
Barry’s eyes were fixated on Kasey and the woman in the red suit, his heart thumping loudly. Please be okay.. don’t get hurt… It had taken an immense amount of focus, but he’d managed to purge a small spot in the sky of clouds.
(Kenzie? Lol.)
“I was just bored, dear. Trust me, no evil scheme this time,” the Red Falcon chuckled, not moving from her spot nor looking her intimidated by Kinesie.
“Yeah, I’m sure. Is this a distraction for your boyfriend? Oh. Wait. No, he’s in jail,” Kinesie said as if she just remembered.
The villain flinched visibly st the mention of her boyfriend. She had been very close to him, and they’d often worked together on their schemes. “Yeah, and who put him there? Oh, that’s right! You did!” she screamed, running at Kasey and slashing with her claws.
(Oh lol sorry. Like I said, tired)
Barry opened his mouth to scream when the woman in red leaned forward at Kasey, the temperature outside dropping several degrees.
(Aw, sorry.)
Kasey jumped back and covered herself with miscellaneous items from the ground. “He belongs there! He’s killed people!”
“You don’t understand what he’s been through!” the Red Falcon exclaimed, growling at her.
(I’m fine dw )
The temperature began to rise again when he saw that she was safe. Barry heaved a huge sigh of relief.
“I shouldn’t have to! He doesn’t need to kill people! And neither do you!” Kinesie argued, shooting pebbles and small rocks at her adversary.
Barry was watching, terrified, from the car. If he believed in god he would’ve been praying for her.
The Red Falcon dodged most of the makeshift missles, but one caught her on the arm. She flinched and huffed at Kinesie before coming at her again. This time, she started to open her mouth, though. Most likely to try and put Kasey under her control.
Eyes widening as she realized what was about to happen, Kinesie gathered as many things with her telekinesis as possible. When the Red Falcon started to sing, the heroine wrapped the objects around her mouth, successfully silencing her.
“Don’t even think about it,” Kasey said, placing one hand on her hip as the other kept the muffling items in place. “And you know that I’ll know if you do.”
Barry was watching all of this with awe at his girlfriend.. she was so brave, so.. fearless.
The Red Falcon glowered at Kinesie from behind her muzzle and moved to scratch at her. With another flick of her hand, Kinesie sent more debris to encase the villainess.
“All right. I think the proper authorities can take it from here,” Kinesie called to the cops waiting close by.
Soon, the Red Falcon was being pushed inside of a cop car as Kasey kept watch. As soon as she was certain everything was okay, she sighed and walked over to Barry’s car. Giving him a small, exhausted smile, she sat down in the passenger’s seat and visibly drooped.
She had the beginning of a huge headache coming on — she could just feel it. And she was so, so tired…
Barry gathered her up in his arms, squeezing her tightly. “You were amazing… holy crap I’ve never seen anything like that in my life… I’m dating a superhero-“
“Technically, you’re dating a superhero who is on hiatus. Until today, I guess,” Kasey sighed, kissing his cheek. She closed her eyes a bit and rubbed at her temples. “Would you mind bringing me home? I’m exhausted and my head hurts…”
“Of course,” he said gently. “Do you have class today? You should call in sick.”
Kasey sighed and pulling her phone out to check the date and time. “Yeah… At least I don’t have work today. I’ll have to call someone to take notes for me and get the homework…”
(Skip?)
(When to?)
(We could also do some fluff of Barry taking care of Kasey if you want.)
(Yes please that’s sounds very uwu
So, in her room right?)
(Sounds good! Do you want to start or should I?)
(I can)
Barry gently lay Kasey down on her bed, drawing up the sheets to tuck her in gently. “Want me to bring you some tea or food? Anything you need?”
