"I'm back!" Brandi calls out, bursting through the door. They had shoved their bloody jacket into the gay they carried.
"I'm back!" Brandi calls out, bursting through the door. They had shoved their bloody jacket into the gay they carried.
"Good morning, Brandi!" Macy squealed. She stood on her chair and gave them a kiss on the cheek. Liam grunted a good morning, his hair still disheveled, dressed in his usual of slacks, dress shirt, and suspenders
"Mornin' Mace." Brandi said, turning to see Liam. "Wow, you look like hel- I mean trash. Do you have patrol today?" They asked.
"Yes…" he grumbled. He hated patrols, they were long and tedious. "I've got to head in early, can you drop off Macy for me?" He asked, pouring two cups of coffee.
"Yup! I can pick her up too, I have nothing on my schedule." Brandi says, grabbing one of the cups from his hands and picking up some marshmallows to put in it.
He watched put marshmallows in her coffee and shook his head. "An abomination…" he muttered as he handed her a plate of food. "Thanks, I'll be in the office pretty late tonight anyway…"
Brandi gave a thumbs up to both of the statements. "Can do, how about it May, wanna ride my motorcycle with me hun?"
Liam shook his head at Macy's squeals of delight. "Brandi…" He gave them a stern look. "The rules still apply: Hurt my daughter on that stupid motorcycle, and I hurt you." He took his food to the table. He hated Macy riding on that bike, it was too dangerous.
"I won't hurt her, she'll wear a helmet and everything. Plus, it's my only mode of transport." Brandi points out, sipping their coffee.
"Right, right…" He took a sip of his coffee. "Thank, again, Brandi." He said, tossing her the newspaper. "You made the front cover- well you didn't. Your work did though."
"Awesome! The gruesome murder of one of the top gang's leader." They read, scrunching their nose when they said that they were a female.
Macy leaned over to see the page, she yelped when she looked. "What is that?" she asked, pointing to the picture. Liam shook his head and sighed. "Don't worry about it, love-bug. It's grownup pictures."
"Don't worry, just something I have to clean up." Brandi said, already planning the murder of whoever wrote that.
"Brandi calm down.." Liam warned, noting that look in her eyes. "I can only cover you for killing the bad guys."
"But, but they called me a girl." They complain, sighing dramatically and sipping their coffee.
"I know, but they don't know any better. Why don't you leave them a nice letter, kindly correcting their mistake. I promise you they won't get it wrong again." He said firmly.
"Nooooooo… Fine." They whined. "I'm going to write it in someone's blood tough, I need to keep up my killer demeanor."
"How about fake blood…and then you can torture if they get it wrong again." He offered.
"I can just use some baddies blood." They said, draining the rest of their coffee.
"Okay, that you can do." Liam nodded. He took their cup. "Want another cup?" he asked.
"Hmmm, Nah. It's time to go, Macy you ready?" They called, throwing on a jacket.
Macy stood and came to her dad. "Bye,bye, daddy!" She kissed his cheek and took Brandi's hand. "I'm ready." She put her book bag on her shoulder.
"Okay, Grab your helmet." They reminded her, grabbing their own mint helmet and walking towards the front door.
BUMP?///////////////
((I'm terribly sorry, I forgot about this… my bad!))
Macy grabbed her candy red helmet and followed Brandi out. Liam watched them go, waving a final time to his little girl as they left. He fear somedays that would be the last time he saw her, the last time he got a kiss goodbye. It happened all the time for others.
"So, what's happening at your school?" Brandi asked, their usual peppy self as they began to get their motorcycle ready to go.
"Ms. Winnie is teaching us language." she squeaked. "It's silly, but she's says that if I learn, I can talk to Danny. He can't hear."
"Ah." Brandi nodded in understanding, hopping the seat of their motorcyle behind them ."Hup uo buttercup!"
Macy did her best to get on the motorcycle, but it was too tall for the little girl and her book-bag. "Brandi…" she pouted.
"Okay, Imma lift you up." Brandi said, picking the little girl up by the armpits and setting her infront of them.
