Blaine looked around in wonder. This was all new to her; the sounds, the smells, everything. The port was nothing like where she had grown up.
Andion looked down at her with a soft smile, leading them across the dock and towards a tavern. He'd traveled before so this was nothing new.
“I feel like I look like I don’t get around much… But I suppose that’s nothing new, right? Being a port, there must be a lot of people like me who come through here like this. I would rather blend in, though…” Blaine rambled before biting her lip to stop herself.
"I hope you don't get sea sick," Andion said, looking out over the sea, "It's the worst."
“Do you get sea sick?” Baine asked, turning her attention from the sea to Andion.
"I used too. But I don't anymore." Andion replied, shrugging.
Blaine nodded slowly, humming in response as she looked back at the water.
“If it were under any other circumstance, I’d say it would be fun to go swimming, but we should probably just leave as soon as possible…”
“The ship doesn’t leave for two days, remember? We have a day to just… do nothing so we can go swimming if we wanted.” Andion shrugged.
“Hm, right… I suppose that’s true, huh?” Blaine remembered. “Do you want to?”
“Maybe we should put out things away first.” Andion chuckled.
“Well, yeah,” Blaine chuckled. “I meant after that.”
“Come on then.” Andion les them into the brightly lit tavern. It was fairly empty, a few people sitting by a fire drinking and talking happily and quietly. He led them up to the bar.
“Well ‘ey there. What can I do for ye?” His accent was clearly from somewhere far away.
“We were just wondering if you have any rooms available?” Blaine asked with a polite smile.
The man nodded, “As a matter o’ fact I do,” He knelt down and pulled out a small key, “Up the stairs and it’s the first room on the right.”
“Thank you,” Blaine said with a nod as she took the keys. “How much for two nights?”
“Ten pieces of gold,” The man said and Andion rumaged through his bag and held them out to him, “Thanks lad.”
“You ready to go up, then?” Blaine asked, turning to Andion.
Andion nodded, "Yeah, let's go. Thanks again." The man gave a small nod and set off cleaning the bar while the two walked to the stairs.
"That was surprisingly easy," Blaine said with a small smile as she followed Andion up. "Though, I guess there was no reason for it not to be…"
Andion nodded, "Yeah. He always has rooms free."
"Oh, you've been here before?" Blaine asked, glancing at him as they reached their room.
Andion nodded, "Stayed here a few times, actually. It's how I knew the place was here."
"I suppose that's a good thing, then," Blaine chuckled as she unlocked the room.
Andion hummed his agreement as they walked in the room. It wasn't much but it would do. An old double bed sat in the center in front of a small window, a small table sitting next to it with a pitcher of water. A dresser sat against the near by wall, along with a basin. On the other side was a small bathroom.
"Hm, nice room," Blaine said with a small smile, closing the door behind her and setting her things on the floor.
"Yeah, it's not much but it'll be fine for the next couple days." He shrugged and placed his stuff beside Blaine's.
Blaine nodded and sat down on the edge of the bed. She fell onto her back and stared up at the ceiling, exhausted.
"That was a long walk…"
Andion chuckled and leaned down beside her, "It wasn't that big of a walk."
"We walked for a very long time, Andion. I am not used to using my legs that much. I'm better with my arms, due to archery and all," Blaine murmured, turning her head to look over at him.
