@blue_topaz
Barry laughed lightly. “So what do you guys want to order?”
Barry laughed lightly. “So what do you guys want to order?”
"Probably a chicken burrito with guacamole," Kasey said with a shrug.
"And I'll probably get the same, minus the guac," Kenzie said, smiling at Hunter.
"Burrito with steak for me," he chuckled.
“The steak burrito sounds good.” They ordered their food, Barry keeping his fingers interlaced with Kasey’s.
Kasey glanced at Barry with a smile and squeezed his hand gently.
"So, what classes do you have after this?" she asked.
“I’m free the rest of the day.” Barry grinned broadly. “How about you guys?”
"Bio and Chem. Then Kenz is coming over for a movie night, right babe?" Hunter asked, turning to kiss Kenzie's cheek.
Kenzie blushed and smiled. "Yeah. I've got a different Bio class, and an English class after that."
"Guess what I've got? Math…" Kasey sighed.
Barry chuckled lightly. “Have fun with that. And have fun at movie night, what’re you two watching?”
"Mm… Haven't decided yet," Hunter said with a shrug. "It's up to Kenz."
"We'll figure it out later," Kenzie chuckled.
(I can’t figure out what to say next what do you want Barry to do?)
(We could skip to their date or something?)
(Good idea, sorry about last night)
(Would Barry and Kenzie still be with eachother or would Barry go to pick her up?)
(It was fine! Don't worry about it.
He'd probably have to pick her up because she would have had a class.)
(right sorry)
Barry found himself standing anxiously in front of his mirror for the third night in a row, attempting to straighten the crooked collar of his white button-down. Nerves hummed in his stomach, which he had tried and failed to dispel multiple times before giving up and proceeding to change his outfit three times. Eventually, he had decided on a simple button-down shirt and black trousers.
Finally succeeding with the collar, Barry unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. He stared at his reflection in the mirror for a moment before buttoning it up again. Then, he unbuttoned it. And then buttoned it back up. This went on for at least five minutes before he sighed, left it unbuttoned, and crossed the hall to Kasey's room.
(It's okay. :)
Kasey had managed to enlist McKenzie's help in getting ready before the maroon-haired girl left for Hunter's house. Now, Kasey stood in front of the mirror and fixed a few stray strands of hair, putting them back in their place. She was actually pretty happy with how her outfit had turned out; it wasn't too fancy, nor was it too casual. At least, she hoped.
Her black dress reached just above her knees, and she had looped a brown, braided belt around her waist to give it some shape. She wore a light tan-colored knit cardigan over it, black tights under it, and a pair of black, ankle-length, high-heeled boots. A long necklace was around her neck, hanging down to just past her belt.
She sighed as she took in her appearance, then touched up her light pink lip gloss.
"Okay. I look good. Kenzie said so, I actually think so, so… Good," she said to herself.
(Her outfit, but I changed the shoes: https://pin.it/i7jizynnah4nnj )
Barry knocked softly on the door of her room, exhaling and stepping back. Trying to resist the urge to fiddle with the strap of his watch, he shifted nervously and tried to calm himself. His mind kept flashing back to the night he'd spent with her, his hands cupping her face, the feeling of his lips covering hers…..
Realizing that his heart tattoo was bright pink, he shook the thoughts away.
(I can't find her tattoo colors… Do you remember when she asked about them?)
(god that sucks I'm sorry)
"Thanks. The whole thing turns deep gold when you're really happy, moderate amounts of happiness are sort of bronze-ish. Depressed is black, no shimmer, tired is grey, sadness is deep grey-blue, getting lighter the less likely you are to cry. Brown is bored, pink is flustered, green is excited, red is angry— the darker it is, the angrier you are, orange is pissed off. Purple is sort of… lost in thought. If you're a mix of emotions touches of the corresponding colours will appear. Oh– and silver is for hollow and un-feeling."
found it!
(Awesome, thanks!)
"He's here. That's him. Gosh, Kase, get a hold of yourself!" Kasey hissed at herself, shaking her head.
She tore herself away from the mirror's reflection and crossed the dorm to the door. Opening it, she gave Barry a warm smile, rubbing at her tattoo. She was sure it was bright pink, and it definitely had to be tinged with gold.
"Hey," she greeted him, grinning.
(np)
Barry blinked, cheeks instantly growing pink as a huge smile grew on his face. "Hey."
Get a hold of yourself!
"You look beautiful.", he told her sincerely, distractedly noticing her lip gloss and wondering what it would taste like.
"Thanks. You too," Kasey said. Then, realizing what she had really just said, she stuttered over her words, "Handsome. Not beautiful. You look… really… handsome. Yeah. You look nice."
Barry's smile grew a little wider. Without bothering to even try and stop himself, he took a step forward, crossed the threshold to her room, and crushed his lips against hers.
Kasey made a surprised noise when Barry's lips were suddenly on hers. She smiled momentarily before kissing him back, shutting her eyes as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
(lol that typo tho)
Her lip gloss did taste good, faintly reminiscent of strawberries and vanilla. Barry smiled a little before pulling back, eyes sparkling. "We should probably get to my car, or we'll never end up leaving."
(I normally notice that typo… sigh)
"Yeah, that sounds like it's probably a good idea," Kasey laughed, a little breathlessly.
(lol it's fine we've all been there)
Barry couldn't help a grin at her breathless tone. He took her hand into his, leading her down the hallway and into the elevator. "How was your day?"
"It was good. Well, as good as it could have been," Kasey chuckled. "Much better after lunch with you."
By now, Barry was grinning like a helpless idiot. "That was fun. How was Math?"
"Math was murder to my brain," Kasey groaned. "Remind me why I'm taking that class?"
"Because it's a…….. useful life skill?", Barry suggested. "Don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of it either."
"If I didn't need it for my degree, I wouldn't even be taking it," Kasey sighed, rolling her eyes.
