Kelton saw a small person backed up against the wall, his face pale and afraid, he sighed and glanced around the room. "Yes, I'm Satan. I'm guessing you summoned me on accident, didn't you?" He asked.
Kelton saw a small person backed up against the wall, his face pale and afraid, he sighed and glanced around the room. "Yes, I'm Satan. I'm guessing you summoned me on accident, didn't you?" He asked.
“Wh-What?” He stuttered, glancing at the papers sitting on his bed. There it was- a single paper with a drop of blood on it. Then Chase realized how he had bled onto the pentagram. “W-Wait,” He looked at Satan nervously, “You’re- You’re r-real?” Chase couldn’t believe it, that something so fictitious as being able to summon Satan with a pentagram could be real.
"Yes, I'm Satan," Kelton repeated, crossing his arms and looking at the human. "So, what do you want?" He asked, slightly annoyed.
“I- Wh-What do I want?” Chase breathed, still shrinking away from the intimidating male. “Am I- Am I dead?” Chase’s eyes widened in slight fear, glancing at the pentagram again.
"No. You aren't dead, yet. You just summoned me.." Kelton grumbled in annoyance. "Do you want anything from me? Yes? No? Answer quickly or I just might kill you." He threatened.
“I want a friend,” Chase squeaked shyly, and he glued his eyes to the corner of his room. What am I even doing? He glanced back at Satan nervously, chewing his lip, “Can I sell my soul for that?”
"I would advise you not to sell your soul just for a friend. Why don't you just outside and talk to someone?" Kelton asked, his eyes darting around the room. Based on his room and appearance, he might be around my age…unless he's one of those people who had plastic surgery to make themselves look younger than their actual age.
“So I can’t sell my soul for something like that?” Chase let out a tiny laugh, but then as if remembering where he was and who was standing in front of him, the laugh got cut off as if strangled. His voice changed back to a quiet, shy mumble, “People don’t- don’t really like me, Kemp usually just chases them off…”
"You can if you want to but I wouldn't advise it," Kelton answered, glancing at boy when he laughed. Interesting….also seems shy, which is a typical trait of people who summon me. Does this Kemp guy bully him or something? I'm gonna go kill that asshole later, this guy seems so nice.
Like a lavender blue, Chase just had this feeling. This feeling of want, of need. He looked up at Satan again, a touch of fear in his eyes but it was mixed with something else, “I want you to be my friend.” He chewed his lip, waiting for some kind of reprimand or disgust from the demonica being before him.
"Wait, what?" Kelton asked, looking at the boy with a surprised look on his face. No one had ever asked him that, if anything, people usually avoiding Kelton unless it was absolutely necessary.
“Pl-Please?” Chase looked away, fixing his eyes on the one of the scattered worksheets from chemistry class. “You- You said I could make a deal for that…” The truth was, Chase just didn’t want to be alone anymore. Chase didn’t want to work in misery at school only to come home to his dad’s new girlfriend and the smell of alcohol, having no one to go to.
"You want me? The one everyone fears and never speaks of, to be your friend?" Kelton asked. After a few moments and sighed and took out a piece of paper and a pen, handing it to the man. "Sign please."
Chase took the paper, and without thinking twice, signed it. He was tired of being alone, he just wanted someone. Anyone. He looked back up at Satan, holding his breath for a second. Did I seriously just do that?
Kelton took the paper and it immediately went up into flames, conforming the man's fate. "So, you wanted me to be your friend, I guess we should know each other's names?" He said, making it sound more like a question.
“I’m-“ Chase was still staring at the place where the contract had disappeared, “I’m Chase Goeman.” He purposefully put emphasis on the ‘Goe’ part, even if it was highly unlikely that Satan knew of Kemp and Jacob’s nickname for him, “And you’re just Satan, right?”
"Fits you," Kelton commented, looking at the boy with a small smile on his face. "And no, I'm not just Satan," He snapped his fingers, making him return to his normal appearance with his black hair and blue eyes. "I'm actually Kelton Marintz, nice to meet you."
Chase’s eyes widened, looking over Satan’s new appearance. “I…” Kelton’s eyes were… stunning. Chase shut down that feeling before it developed, “How do you… I thought Satan was just… Satan.” He tilted his head to the side in small wonder.
"I'm Satan and Kelton at the same time…? I don't know, it's very confusing." Kelton answered. He himself has never had enough time to find out how he was two(?) people at once.
“Oh…” Chase stared at the ground, thinking the concept over, but a little chime from the wall clock interrupted his thoughts. He scrambled to his feet, picking up the worksheets from his classes as he explained hastily, “It’s already late and I’ve barely gotten anything done.”
"I guess I better go back too. Soooo, see you later, I guess?" Kelton said, making it sound more like a question. "Or I could stay and help you with your homework if you want me to, I don't have anything much to do." He suggested afterwards, his voice a bit quieter.
“Well…” Chase truthfully did want some company, but he only mumbled quietly, “Do you know anything about ionic bonding of atoms?” He looked over his paper, a sea of numbers and elements that didn’t make much sense to him, before showing it to Satan- to Kelton.
(I actually don't but Kelton does so ye)
"Actually I do, it's {stuff about ionic bonding of atoms}." Kelton explained. He was glad it about a topic he knew since he wanted to spend time with Chase for some reason.
(Lol, I’m low key trying to get in studying)
“Oh…” Chase moved to lay on his bed and scribble down the answer, scooting to the side so Kelton could lay down too if he wanted. He worked out the next problem and showed it to Kelton, chewing his lip, “Did I do it right?”
(Lmaoo, gg)
Kelton finally got out of the pentagram thing since he thought he was going to be here for a while, then he walked over to the man and sat down on the edge of bed. "Yep, that's right." He answered, glancing at Chase. He's so much more prettier up close.
Slowly but surely, Chase worked his way through his homework with the help of Kelton, and by the time he finished he was so tired that he was basically falling asleep on Kelton’s shoulder without realizing.
Kelton glanced at Chase when he had fallen asleep on his shoulder, making a small blush appear on his face. He carefully slid out and laid him down on his bed, pulling the covers over Chase's body to keep him warm before walking away.
(Should we time skip to next day?)
(yep)
Chase awoke snuggled in bed, some papers scattered here and there, feeling well slept for once. The dream he had came back to him vividly for once, so vivid that it seemed real. He let out a yawn, slowly stretching in bed. But then a thought hit him. If I had only been dreaming… “Shoot shoot shoot,” Chase lurched out of bed, quickly looking at the closest worksheet. It was finsihed. He looked at the next. That on was done too. Chase let out a breath, slumping back down. He finished his homework, by some miracle.
He gathered his worksheets and binders, got changed, and grabbed his backpack and walked down to his kitchen. It still smelled like alcohol, it must’ve been a bad night for his father. Chase looked in the fridge, but there wasn’t much food other than a rotting bag of apples and condiments. I’ll just skip breakfast today… Chase walked out the door, his father too lazy to say goodbye.
