Everything around him seemed darker than before. All he could hear were the screams of his family and the random body he left on the ground. Cade reached the princess finally and he took out his knife, aiming it at her while he took a moment to breathe shakily. "Your mother killed my family. She killed everyone!"
Scarlet tried to scoot backwards on the branch, eyes wild with fear. He had her trapped. “I’m not with her! Let me down! She has killed everyone I have even cared about other than Virgil!! I’m not on her side!”, she pleaded desperately, fumbling for her knife. It slipped from her belt and fell to the ground.
Virgil screamed, still trapped in his fears. The downside of his powers was that whenever he did this, his fear was amplified. "No, no no no no no no no no!" He whimpered in a voice hoarse from screaming.
Cade saw her mouth moving, but he couldn't hear her. "Stop messing with me!" He shouted, moving the knife closer to her. He swiftly swung the knife, making a good sized gash in her arm. That's all he could manage before the screams of the unknown body at the base of the tree overtook him.
Scarlet screamed, letting go of the branch in shock and slipping off. She caught herself on the branch just in time, dangling from her injured arm. Black spots swam before her eyes, unconsciousness and pain failed to overtake her, but she pushed through, mind glitching back and forth from her terrifying dreamscape to her current predicament.
Cade watched as the princess dangled from the branch, and he found himself unable to move. The body was screaming at him to leave the princess alone. It was screaming in his ears, making him feel light-headed. Something inside him told him that he was a monster. Something told Cade that killing the princess was wrong. He was stuck between sides, unsure what to do.
"Night! No." Nykidia repeated over and over again and again. Someone was shaking her. "Nykidia. Nykidia! NYKIDIA!!!" The yelling jarred her from the trance. Night was shaking her. "Night?" "Nykidia! What happened?" Nykidia gasped. She was alive. She was here. It was ok. "Night!" She said hugging her. "Nykidia what happened?" Night asked. "Y-you died." Nykidia sobbed. "Shhhhhh. It's ok. I'm here. I'm here." Night said hugging her back. Nykidia stopped her sobbing. She looked around as Cade was climbing up a tree towards scarlet who was screaming she was innocent.
(Would it be ok to knock scarlet and Virgel out? No hurting just so we can stop the fighting for now.)

Phoebe loitered near the door of the cabin, staring off into the woods dramatically. She could hear some crashing, some sobbing, some confusion. It didn’t sound like something she wanted to get caught up with, so she decided to stay until they got back and convince them to let Scarlet in. Then she’d be on her way again, hopefully to find her brother and not his body.

“Virgil!”, Scarlet screamed, fingers slipping slowly. Her arm felt like it was being ripped in two, There was blood dribbling down it and onto her face, into her mouth. She was trying to spit it back out and it wasn’t working, she was about to fall.

Nykidia looked up to Scarlet who looked about to fall and snap her neck. "Can I kill her?" Nykidia asked Night. "I don't think so. We need to know what's going on." Nykidia sighed. "Fine." She said. "Night could you bring her down?" Night nodded. Night flew up and carried Scarlet down to the ground.
Scarlet pushed the girl away from her as soon as they touched down, staggering away and clutching her bloodied arm. "Virgil!", she yelled again, screams still ringing in her ears. The whole world tilted, her head spun from acute terror, and she just wanted it all to stop.
"Calm down." Night tried to reassure her. "We're not going to hurt you." "Night she's probably not going to believe that." Nykidia said. "Well I can still try." Night huffed at Nykidia.

“It’s not that hard to understand!!”, Scarlet yelled at them. “My mother is a psychopath!!! I ran away with Virgil!!! I hate her!!! End of story!!!!!”
"Not just that. We need to know other things." Night said. "We're not going to hurt you. If we have to we can keep the others at bay but you need to give us some answers."
