Ad twisted his hands together and looked around. Was his castle always this dirty? It looked so unfriendly now that he looked around.

Annabeth sighed. She loved the light but she could get used to the dark.
But he couldn’t just clean up his home. It was darkness. It needed to be here.
Annabeth turned to face Ad ." I appreciate this I really do, But I do have to go" she said
Ad looked at her. “If you go back out there, you will certainly die.”
"I Can't stay here" she said.
“Then you are enclosing yourself in a lifetime of misery and darkness.” Ad whipped around dramatically and started to walk away to his kitchens.
"Says you" she said.
Ad paused suddenly.
“Says me?” He asked fiercely, turning around with a flourish.
"You live in darkness…..Alone you choose this" She said."But I was forced into the dark and the only light I have is my own beating heart Which so help me I will protect as long as someone wants to rip it out" She finshed.
Ad sighed. “I do not wish to rip your heart from your chest. I wish to protect you from the darkness that plagues this area.”
"You may not want to but people do" she said.
“Then going back out is pointless. Surround yourself with someone who wants to help, and who is powerful.”
"How can I trust you" she asked.
“Don’t trust the person who enchanted the forest to be the way it is?” Ad asked smoothly.
"It's dark and lonley" she said.
Ad shifted his weight onto the other foot. He offered no response.
Annabeth raised her eyebrows "see" she said "No response."
“You can’t blame something for being lonely and dark by nature. If you are going to stay, your room if on the top floor. Pick whichever room you’d like.” And with that, he swept off, shutting the doors, his robe fluttering behind him.
"Beauty and the beast much" she mumbled. Annabeth slowly made her way up the stairs and as soon as she was on the top floor she picked the first room she saw.
It was spacious and large. It was a slate-gray room with wide windows overlooking what looked like a lake. The bed was comfy looking and a king-sized. There were a few dressers, a walk-in closet, and a fitted bathroom on the side.
Annabeth nodded. "this could work" she said.
The room took in her voice splendidly. The darkness outside seemed to muffle it and thicken up the walls.
Annabeth sighed and sat on her huge bed. "This is my new life" she said.
It wasn’t a bad one, though. She could be facing much much worse.
Annabeth decided she was tired and slowly layed down for a nap.
The bed hugged her body and the pillow stood nice and soft under her neck.
Soon, Annabeth began to drift off into slumber.
